I remember finding a BNWT Alan Flusser suit about a month ago, is their stuff any good?
Yeah.....a day of some amazing finds, but not one in my size.

So my thrift had at least 10, pretty much new and very recent MTM Sammy suits, all pin striped and really tasteful, a Zegna Su Misra, and a Mabro suit.
I passed on them all as they were all 46R 40W.
Also, a Lands End 7 Fold tie, any one ever seen one?
I may go back and get it, it was super nice.

Yes, generally very good but the styling can be idiosyncratic so it may not be easy to sell on.

The other thing to watch out for is that Flusser has licensed his name in the past, so do the usual quality checks as well to make sure you're getting the goods.

I know it's an ancient post, but I'm starting way back at the beginning and was so glad to hear someone else confess to hiding his thrift obsession from his wife.

I mean I see tons of Made in Italy/Pure Silk/Made in Paris, etc.

Memphis Milano
Daks
XMI
J. Garcia
Countess Mara
Jhane Barnes
Ralph Marlin
Damon
Hardy Amies

I know there's more...will keep brainstorming as I remember what I've seen around.

Well done, esp. the Arnys ties, which I've never, ever seen thrifting...!

I was at Goodwill today and I found a Corneliani blazer that I left because it was double-breasted, unvented and with peak lapels. Way out of style in my opinion, but if anybody is interested, I could go back and find out what size it is or take some measurements.

Would a NWT Oxxford suit be worth buying for $100 for purpose of flipping? It does not even have the sleave buttons on it. Do you think I could get at least $200 out of it?

I have a feeling that the Flusser suit in question is licensed and not bespoke

I would think so. What size is it?

Not sure. I could not find a size tag, just the order tag, so it may be MTM? Looked kinda 40/42 ish, tan.
There is another hand made suit black 2 button that is also new. Can't remember the name, Marzutti Uomo? Something like that....42R my size, but too used to regular thrift pricing, although I do have a 25% off coupon. Hmm....
Also a new HF tan sport coat for $100.
There was also a new Oxxford suit in mini gray herringbone, double vented, red full lining and working cuffs. I am hoping one of my friends got it as it is gone. All donated by the local men's shop right across the street.

Holy buckets, that's some pricey stuff for a thrift store! How much are shirts, etc.?

It could be MTM. On the new style tags, where the size would be, just says spl (or something similar)

I'm headed for a day trip to Orange County - specifically Costa Mesa. If anyone wants to trade OC tips for LA tips, drop me a PM.
