A good but frustrating few days.

The good: Hit 8 stores on the weekend. Totally struck out at the first 6 and the 8th but had some luck at the 7th. I found an as new, blue, horizontal stripe Brooks Bros. Makers tie, a Samuelsohn navy DB wool overcoat and a Baldesserini navy, patch pocket, Egyptian cotton SC, all mint shape and perfect fits, $35 total.

The frustrating: 3 awesome suits, a Zegna charcoal pinstripe, a fantastic Lou Myles charcoal chalkstripe heavy flannel double breasted and a gorgeous Pal Zileri Abito navy pinstripe single breasted peak lapel all in mint condition, all my size...... and all missing the pants

Definitely eBay 'worn once!' condition. Three things that people can never estimate accurately: How many drinks they had last night, their body fat percentage, how many times shoes have been worn.

The way the jacket is buttoned is definitely women's. But since it is a DB, it could be that the seller just buttoned the jacket the wrong direction. Anyone has any idea how old it is? The tag is still attached and there is a barcode

I've been fighting through the drabs & doldrums the past few weeks along with most the rest of you, but had a find to share with the Minneapolis/St. Paul thrifters in particular.

I found a nice, but mismatched pair of brown Alden wingtips each a size 9D in a metro area Salvation Army over the weekend. I bought 'em for no other reason that they had a nice pair of cedar shoe trees tucked inside. A month or so back a couple members had managed to find mis-matched pairs of shoes at local thrifts and were able to reunite each pair through the board, so I'm going to throw this out there to see if lightning may strike twice, especially since they're Aldens which would probably otherwise go to waste!

Are the shoe trees included in the sale?
