Chocolate Brown RLPL Suit - Hacking & Ticking Pockets, Throat Latch, Flat Front Pants w/ Side Adjusters)

It fits me at a size 40, so it is temporarily unavailable - but do I really need a brown suit? Do I really need any suits? Decisions, decisions...

You need THAT brown suit.

Hey! I woke up early today while on vacation in Koh Chang, Thailand and saw that an article about BB OCBDs dropped over at Put This On. Guess who provided the earliest 3 shirts (1900s, 1920s-1930s, 1940s-1950s) in the photographs? (It was me, lol!)

Thanks Put This On!

Very cool. Were those thrifted? The article says Brooks Brothers helped date the shirts. Were you surprised by the dates or did you already have an idea?

You should post them over in the vintage thread too.

I've looked at the photos five times now and still don't see a website address anywhere. Am I just missing it?

I must have been looking at the wrong thing - guess I'm not up to the task of multi quoting from my phone.

Hans: That leather motorcycle jacket is killer! I'd rock it every chance I got if it were mine! :slayer: Mainy: That cedar chest is gorgeous! Score!! silverwarebandit: Nice find on those Baldwins! Still regret selling the NWOT pair of jeans I found here but they were too big. :(
DanM came down from the 'Nati and this morning we hit the best thrift/consignment store event in Louisville that happens twice a year. I'm back at work now, so pictures later, but I had a pretty epic haul (for Louisville). In other words, an average Thursday morning in LA. :slayer:
Oxxford suit Attolini sportcoat (!) Kiton trousers Luciano Barbera trousers Brioni shirt Ties by Karl Lagerfeld, Luciano Barbera, and Emilio Pucci Also, a couple nice madras jackets that should flip well. Dan is still out in the field; I wish him luck and look forward to his recap later
.
:lurk:
Forgot to post this and it's on Ebay now, but even though it is a diffusion line I thought it was interesting seeing as how new the line itself is: Thom Grey by Thom Browne OCBD (L)
Wow, never even knew about this diffusion line.... It's been pretty slow here. I've found a few things here and there but nothing worth bragging about. Woke up this morning planning to hit the stores. Damn you, Minnesota....

Took the sandbags out of the trunk and swapped my winter wheels w/ snow tires out a few weeks ago. :brick: Thankfully my wife didn't have to go into work till later because her first 3 patients canceled so I took her more winter-friendly SUV. Found a few things, though it surprised me that the thunder-snow and surprise 6" of snow didn't keep many people inside. (not pictured) - Lululemon stripe t-shirt - Billy Reid Brown polo - Oxxford lightweight navy trousers. Double pleated & cuffed. Approx. size 40-42. Incotex Nantucket Red flat front.

Brioni black cotton moleskin trousers. Pleated. Cuffed.

Breuer Tie

And this made the whole trek in the snow and slush worthwhile. Looks like the Tenth Editions are bringing in really good $$$ on the Bay. Wonder what this more current version will bring. Got it for $4. :bounce2:

Mainy,

That Lane chest is super! Looks pristine from the pictures which is amazing as these were usually used for sitting on and lots of opening and closing for storage. From the 60's its especially nice. I bet it smells of sweet cedar too.

If you wish to make double your money I can take it off your hands.

Yeah that leather jacket is pretty nice.

Thom Grey was a diffusion line that cost... something like 80-90% of what Thom Browne cost. $400 hoodies, $1200 varsity jackets etc.

After running through the 'Ville, I'm beat. Pics will come tomorrow, but here's the rundown:

2 Filson hats
1 Donegal tweed bucket hat
Pink and white striped Gucci tie
Talbott Carmel tie
Vintage Brooks knitted silk tie
5 Brioni shirts, one is a pristine tuxedo shirt
1 Brooks Brothers tuxedo shirt
Vintage Banana Republic shirt in desperate need of the treatment
Incotex blue linen trousers
Gray pinstripe Samuelsohn suit, working cuffs, etc. (I earned that one - reunited in one of the most disorganized Goodwills ever)
Zegna wool/cashmere blend sport coat in a black and white houndstooth. There may be an overcheck, can't remember.
Holland and Sherry loud red houndstooth sport coat.

Almost had a tux for the formal thrift fit thread, but the gut denied me victory once again. I've gotta hit the gym. Repeatedly.

One of the Goodwills I frequent has the WORST shirt section ever. There is no organization at all. All shirts (short sleeve, long sleeve, polos) anything that has a button on it, is all thrown together on overstuffed racks. No color, style, or anything in the way of being organized. I think they would sell more shirts with the most tiny bit of sorting. PLUS the fact you cant even move the shirts on the rack as its so stuffed dosent help matters. I dont even bother with shirts at that store anymore!
