Oh, I don't care that macklemore is in an advert -- moar power to him. Just...we lost our thrift muse. It was a snapshot in time...and it's over.

(I'm gonna pop some tags, I got $3,000 in my poc--ket!)

Good luck to him in his career's next phase -- and to you all (clink)

Thrifters will appreciate the port glasses came free with a bottle some moons ago

Caught in the background of the photo purely by accident -- saddleback briefcase...the reviews are all true. Spent $500 and it was worth every penny, I have taken it to work every day for almost 2 years and it's barely -- barely! -- broken in.

You math people!!!! GUess it takes all types.

Spent most of the past year looking for a perfect navy blazer before deciding to buy one from fellow SF member LeSacre three weeks ago (thanks again bro) and then this happens - three navy Brooks Brothers blazers in one day, including a clone of the one I just bought!

Across the back left to right - AE, AE Grayson (which I got for $.09 due to a pricing snafu) and Brooks Brothers Made in USA captoe balmorals. Belt by Bally, and another one of those Pennsylvania Amish ties

Those Earnest Sewn's are pretty nice. I found a more worn in pair in size 33x34. The half selvedge thing is cool. I believe it's because the designer follows the Japanese design principle of Wabi Sabi, the idea that perfection can be found in imperfection. If you notice, one of the legs is a bit longer as well.

You seem to have an assortment of random clothing knowledge that I seriously appreciate. Thank you for posting here.
Thanks dude. I recently found this thread and I've appreciated seeing the finds people post. None of my real life friends care much about thrifting, so it's pretty fun to share stories with people here.

I picked up one of these in the exact same pattern a few months ago after someone on here (mainy?) pointed out they could be had for peanuts on the bay. Easily my favorite shirt at the moment.

Awesome finds, but pleeeease get those LPs stored properly ASAP. Stacking them like that will cause excessive ring wear on the covers.
I saw a mint Sansui AU-515 Integrated Amplifier at a Goodwill a few years ago for $78.00 and passed on it cause I didn't know what it was. I wanted a silver Kenwood amp.
Owwwwwch! I've lusted after the Sansui "AU/TU" black faced stuff for years! A friend of mine bought a AU 717 amplifier and a TU 719 tuner brand new around 1980 or so. I've been eyeing them for a long time and he still won't part with 'em. I don't blame him in the least!
I found a nice stash of these Proof NY tailored blazers, brand new. Proof NY is a company based out of NYC, making similar products to Outlier; tailored cycling apparel, with technical fabrics, made in the USA.
Whoa! Count me in on a size L if you're willing to proxy.
So this weekend was my birthday. YAY IM 22. HELLA OLD. My friends had convinced me to go to a rave in the Bay Area. So I bought tickets off some guy on craigslist since the better tickets had sold out. Lo and behold when I got there, the tickets turned out to be fake. I had to buy shittier tickets at the door and I also paid for some of my friends since I bought them bad tickets. So I got scammed out of $300. Anyone know any course of action which I can take to get the guy back? Only thing I have on him is a phone number. Maybe post his number on 4chan or something? Anyways, thought I should try and salvage my loses by hitting up two thrifts near my friends place (where we were staying). Funny how karma works.

Headed out. Wish me luck. Hope to hit 2-3 stores before my night job.

Today's fit. Spring has apparently exploded onto my fit.
