OK, so tonight it is. But it will have to be a quickie, no muss no fuss. Obligatory DM7-patented "haul" shot: EDITED FOR SOME DEETS The layout wide shot Shirts are: Ted Baker, Ted Baker, Etro, all in the 16.5ish range Bill's are M2. Spotted them at 50 paces. There are 5 pairs of good spring loaded cedar trees with the wide, rounded backs in there. Shoes are 12D Church's Custom Grade (pre Prada) shoes that need a clean and a shine. Some detail shots Zegna trou are su misura green flannel, ~35 waist by 1,000,000" inseam (seriously, this dude was tall). Keeping for now, but if you really want, PM me. Burberry is recent label, made by HF, cashmere blend. Uniqlo is small wale cord, dual vent, made in China. (SEE QUESTION BELOW) The accessory wide shot: But GMMcL: You usually do smalls first. What gives?
Square is hand rolled cotton. TIGHT rolls, too. Awesome links are silver plate, but they weren't Cap'n cheap. They were consignment 'spensive.
Other ties, left to right, are Stuart, untipped Lochcarran wool, Stuart, Jil Sander (no keeper, but it's identical to the other one except in blue and came from the same store) Reason for the post now is I need some groupthink advice. Uniqlo is Made in China, but it's also small wale cord and dual vent. (Size 38S, ish. Same as the Burberry, though that's tagged 38R. But I tried it and its short). I can return it, between now and Monday but its kinda out of my way. It wasn't dirt cheap, but it wasn't like multiple Jacksons either. Return? Not? :decisions:

What does that Uniqlo jacket measure out to? I've been looking for something like that.

The best-ever John Denver album is Whose Garden Is This!, not because it is good, but because it is one of the most awful, cheesy records ever made

 This remind anyone else of that one black and white spike lee movie? I guess John Denver knew wassup...you gotta get *in* that garden, show it who's boss, make sure it know who it *belong* *to*. It's your garden, it's your garden!

@ Fueco -- I think he was urging you to check out the CM thread, not trying to initiate cybersex.

@Stissius -- please tell your friends to see Dark Knight.

@Deadboy -- looks good! No schneider required (though Casey will tell you it is the magic bullet). Wish I could find APCs for that much....

Wish I could find good Paul Smith. I want that navy ASAP Rocky bomber on oki-ni......for $600, WTF. :censored: That is not the PS I've been finding....

^^ I got this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0012NVUHQ
ir

Honey-Can-Do WRD-01657 60-Inch Wide Portable White Storage Closet Organizer

Been quite pleased with it (as my 4th closet).
Yeah. You really should hang suits and hang or roll ties. Sure, buyers will want to press them anyway, but it certainly makes for better pictures. And the longer things are crumpled, the harder it is to un-crease them.

To answer those questions about returning a few shirts- Trust me, they had trauma that would not be fixable without completely porking them. One had a little hole that was destined to become much bigger quickly. The others looked like they'd been bought, stained, dry cleaned, and left for dead with the stains remaining.

GMMcl I'm pretty sure I've got a ring that was made by the same people that made those cufflinks.

Pendleton vintage herringbone tweed with gray suede elbow and shoulder/back patches. This is the nicest non-Harris tweed that I've seen, it looks like a standard herringbone from far away but up close it's got ton of little streaks of colored wool. Awesome. Available.

Lands End unconstructed cotton sports coat, glen plaid with 3/2 front, ticket pocket, side vents, functional cuffs, functional throat latch, lined in blue oxford cloth. One of my favorite finds. Tentatively not available.

Nice! I have the same one in a size 40, in a different color. It's quite nice giving it's fused. There was some stain on the suede. I was able to get it out using rubbing alcohol! Hand sanitizer FTW!

...It is mainly black with brown and gold mini stripes. No pocket. Spread collar w/ barrel cuffs. I think 16.5...

:fu:

The last place I'd look for advice for what to wear would be on the Internet. ...

I tried to find some before SF and after SF pics of me but they're lost in the mists of the internet. I'm wearing things now that I would have never thought possible before and in most cases, didn't even KNOW about to wear. Count me as fortunate that I came to the internet for advice on what to wear! :worship2:

I was talking about both, but my latter comment was regarding personal use. Haven't been blown away by what I've seen, and I've found the PS Paul Smith stuff to be insanely slim fitting.

I've only ever found the one piece and had to look it up (hence the retail factoid) and it has jumped to the head of my summer wear shirts. It's that nice (in my world).

I think what makes it challenging is that on fit pic-posting threads all over the forum, it's commonly accepted that a fit will be given feedback, good or bad. I'd like to think it's because we're a community, and nobody wants to see anyone else walking around looking bad.

...Yes you did, and I'm totally good with this. I think complements should be fair game though, which is probably the majority of commenting people do on fits anyway...

Agreed! If someone doesn't ask for opinions, then it's business as usual. I'm only talking about those here who might WANT to learn more within the confines of this thread's community.

...About fit and vintage clothing.....I'm too drunk to comment now, maybe tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure I could put all five sets to use right now! I'm betting you'll be holding on to them! :nodding:

Dig, I don't have a problem with your proposal re: fits, but I think it's gonna be hard to make it happen. As DeadBoy said, the default assumption on SF is that if you post fit pics, you're opening yourself to advice and criticism. Gonna be impossible to change that apart from doing like they do in SW&D and have a fit pic thread that says NO COMMENTARY in the title.

I've pretty much taken over our guest bedroom in the house. That is until my parents decided to come visit us this weekend and I had to find a home for the stacks of clothes and floor full of boxes... luckily I'm at my lowest inventory of stuff to get rid of that I've ever been.
