Wish the pic was mine, it's from the listing. I'm still experimenting with my photo setup. Made a light tent from PVC, still needs a lot of tweaking.

Last night after work I found a rack of BB. Took home 4-5 SC's and a vintage suit. Left behind a handful more that had some damage. Also found a pair of Hugo Boss loafers in great condition for $8. Man, they are junk, but should probably sell alright on ebay. I've never seen their shoes closeup before. I hope they aren't all made this poorly, because I'm sure they're like $300 new. There's one shop that I have started to hit every single day, and you really get a feel for what the donation flow is like when you begin to go to the same place on a daily basis. You can also determine what the competition is like, based on what you find. It does start to get a little awkward at the checkout. I guess I feel somewhat guilty for buying up all the good stuff, so I'm always coming up with random reasons as to why I'm buying a handful of heavy sweaters and jackets in South FL. "Oh, you going up North?" "Yeah, I travel up there a few times a year, that's why I'm buying all these jackets in random sizes. That's also why I did the same thing last week, gonna be cold as a motherfucker up there, you know?"

No need to explain yourself, you aren't stealing the jackets or asking for anything lower than their posted sticker price. If you actually feel bad, buy the place a box of donuts and coffee or something, you will be a hit.

PSA: just scored six pairs of Levi's Vintage Clothing denim for $50 a pop. They are going fast (sale started 30 minutes ago): http://venteprivee.com

Got two pairs of the 1947s, two pairs of 1954s, one 1944, one 1966

Edit: grabbed two more pairs of the 1944s.

And GMMcL...

Nice. I just ordered two more pairs of the 1944s, which supposedly fit a few inches large in the waist. I normally take a 36. Will probably have to return most of the 34 x 36s I ordered but am hoping I can make the 1944s work.
I briefly glanced at those. They are shrink to fit. So after soak, they should shrink at least an inch.

Yeah, a guy posted a review of the size 34 1944s and said they had a 36" waist pre-wash, 35" post.

I have lost 18 lbs in 5 weeks, so if they don't fit now I hope they will soon. Maybe could wear them unwashed for a bit?

OK, really? Not a single popcorn?
Well, maybe the finds will get some respect at least. First thing to say is: Met up with GM-H. Super nice dude. Had a great time watching him find all the cool stuff I breezed past! And then be nice enough to give it to me!! So most of this stuff is either directly or indirectly attributable to him -- either because he found it, or because he was my good luck charm. As usual, let's start small: Tee shirt: But, eeeew, GMMcL, who buys tee shirts at a thrift?
Accessories:
HF raw silk (looks and feel like wool), PRL Made in Italy, but for the tags I'd swear this was RLPL. Keeper is thick and attached horizontally at the sides.
Eton x 2, seem NWOT
Yes, yes it can. Now, before you get too excited, I dropped a LOT of coin on this one. Consignment find, not thrift.
Shirts:
Mostly in the 16 range except the RRL, which is 15, and temporarily dibsed. Others are available.
Sweater: Keeping. A few moth snacks buried in there, but the weave disguises them nicely. Even if I got them rewoven, it'd still be an awesome deal based on what I paid.
Shoes
10A, UK. Available
Suits and SCs. PRL/Corneliani x 2, 38R (bordering on S) Ancient Brioni SCs x2, 40/41R Older label Zegna blue SC, 40R Zegna transeasonal (Wool, mohair and silk) gray multistripe. 46L AND BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!! 42R. Fit. Me. Like. A. Glove. (Ask GM-H). NOT AVAILABLE. I spent Soooooooo much money on these. But they're on my bucket list, so, there's that. Oh, also, thrift fit. Unlikely to be as well received as Monday's, but it was cold and inclement, and I rocked the hell out of this Anderson & Sheppard CORDUROY suit.
Anderson & Sheppard (I wish you could see the MOP buttons) BB purple label Daks wool unknown hand rolled madder BB braces Pantherella socks Vintage J&M Aristocrat Jodhpur beater boots
GMMcL, OUT!

I think today might be my personal best haul from one single thrift shop, I will post better pictures once I get a chance:

Top from L to R: Zegna Glen Plaid SC 46R, Armani Collezioni Shawl Collar Tux Jacket 42R, PRL Blue Blazer 40R,

Bottom from Lto R: Luciano Barbera DB Charcoil Suit 38R (claimed by a fellow SFer), Samuelsohn Olive Blazer 44R, Southwick Tweed 40R, Norman Hilton Herringbone Tweed 40.

These are all the thrift store "tagged" sizes, so I need to go through and measure everything.

I got a nice Brooks Bros. tie last night. Are the Polo ties worth getting too?

Nothing like boosting sales by badgering your customers with the stringent no return policy.

Sort of like how almost all of us that sell on eBay have a no-return policy.

It depends. I just really loved the gold paisley on that one, and Polo ties are decently high quality.
