Dobbs is pretty solid, especially the older stuff. I am a 7 1/8, like hats, and though I do have 6 or so in rotation (three of which are due to DanM!), could always welcome new ones that aren't too similar from what I already have. That brand is also fairly well-known and seems to do fairly well on the 'bay.
Can anyone educate me on this fab vintage hat I found today? It's from Dobbs 5th Avenue. Brim style is 212. Model name is Adair. Material is fur felt. Any interest?

Picked up a Brooks Brothers tie with a tag I don't recognize, any idea of age? Where's the ThyphoidJones signal when I need one?

From a glance, looks to be vintage from 60's. I've handled a handful of those. Not bad. Very trad.

Yeah, he is in Toronto/GTA. Consider yourself as thrifting with a handicap every time you go out.

Noted. I'm glad I'm not looking for mid century furniture at the moment because he is dominating those pieces. That being said pulled a few pairs of shoes the other day and popped 3 cherries...

Dacks bench made in England (Cheaney I think) oxblood long wings maybe worn a handful of times. A bit tight for my wide feet at 9d so may be available. Pretty sure they're polished binder leather (corrected grain) but they're still awesome!

Zegna dark brown chukka boot. At the cobbler getting new heels and fit so NA

Have been looking for a pair of brown tassel loafers and saw the tassels hanging off a dirty, neglected pair of shoes. It's amazing what a good clean, condition and buff will do to a decent pair of leather...

Gucci bamboo tassel loafers. Fit like a glove but not sure if i can wait til the spring to rock them or just get paid on the bay...currently NA

A bunch of threads too but the camera is down ATM so will slowly take pics with the iPad over the next few days to catch up...

Madras! Goes to figure on one of the bone-chillingest days so far! Not Available.
I thrifted that precise Gant for Barneys Coop madras and wear it weekly in the summertime (and occasionally in what passes for winter in LA). One of my favorite shirts. Amazing haul overall!

Anybody know of Seize Sur Vingt ? Got this sweet made in Italy, MOP, soft shirt today. Just a tad short in the sleeves for me (16.5X35) available.
Seize sur vVingt are an NYC store and brand doing mostly MTM and a few off-the-rack shirts. Really nice stuff, though probably not the absolute finest money can buy. No idea how it does on eBay, but that's my size ... PM incoming!

I'd like to initiate a round of applause for Yossi, who successfully organized a cross-country, three-way trade. I am now in possession of a sweet new dinner jacket.

I didnt realize this was an option

Pleasure is all mine, and please post a fit pic of that dinner jacket! And I doubt I'll pull that off again; it was pure synchronicity.

I in turn picked up a sweet Corneliani wool/cashmere jacket from JL3212, who was a great guy to trade with and packed the jacket (and some shoes I bought from him also) like a pro. Fit pics once back from tailor.

5/5 WOULD 3-WAY AGAIN.

Ha!
