After careful consideration, I listed about half of the neckties I bought in that recent epic haul on eBay, along with quite a few of my own. Started them all at $7.90 (including all the NWT Borrellis and such), shipping is free if you buy more than one. They're all up here.

Jean-Paul Gaultier tan cotton SC, sz 40;

Vintage Brioni wool herringbone SC with leather buttons, sz 36;

A vintage black-and-white, wool Robert Talbott tie, a vintage ETRO tie and three vintage Armani ties (the logo is one I don't remember from the late '80s, so I'm assuming these are from early to mid-80s. From a sartorial archeological perspective, pretty cool.)

Are you the same guy who found these at the estate? Man. Why couldnt you have given us a chance before ebay! I'd buy some if it was on here but not on ebay. It's too much work.

I would keep it and look for a used board on Craigslist or Ebay,you probably won't find one in a thrift store.
Eventually you can get as good as this guy.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep an eye out for a board. Would it still be useful to use until I got a vacuum board?

Sorry, I can understand your sadness. When ever I think ebay, I think hell. It is just not possible on there especially with all the last minute snippers. It either rocks or sucks.

A good stop after work today: Picked up two identical NWOT Gitman Brothers shirts (one was 16.5/35;one 16/34). They still have the creases in the front. Awesome looking shirts. Three ties: One vintage Pendleton, One Vintage Chaps tie (can anyone confirm year or era??) and a nice, everyday type RLPL tie.

Be careful on this forum (not as much in this thread) labeling Polo Ralph Lauren as "RLPL". The correct abbreviation is PRL - RLPL refers to Ralph Lauren Purple Label.

I think you'd be safer selling on here than eBay. Especially with the whole tie ordeal I recently dealt with....

Ah yea. Good point. You're correct. It is not Purple Label - didn't mean to mislead.
