Is that good or bad.

All things Vick are bad from a value point of view at this time. Also, don't wear it to your local ASPCA meeting

Sorry Spoo. Vick was recently benched in the Pro's and will be seeing a new team in the very near future at the end of the year. That jersey is when he played from Virginia Tech. The weird thing is that most college jerseys sold to the public do not have the names of players on them (because the school cannot capitalize off of their name and likeness because they are amateur athletes). So, finding jersey with the name on the back is a little bit intriguing. I think VT's jerseys do display names for the game worn stuff and the school *may* be able to capitalize on a player's name after they graduate so that could explain it too.

Unfortunately, with his unethical scandal and his less than stellar play two years in a row, the value of anything "Vick" is not worth much. Can the name come off easier? May be worth just selling it to some Virginia Tech fan as a generic jersey. Or, maybe you get lucky and some underground Virginia dog fighting club really wants this piece.

Edit: looks like it does hold some value...

Made an interesting observation today. Apparently you can barter with Goodwill staff. I heard a customer demand a price reduction of around 20% and they just gave it to him. Is this usual at all?

Related to getting something at a massive price reduction, visited a GW and they had a Burberry cashmere long coat priced at $75 blue tag. I go to a staff member with jacket strung across my arm and asked when blue tags were 50% off. Said next week Thursday. I remarked "I will put this back and fingers crossed the $75 price tag means it will not move from there". The guy looked at me and said "I will pull that aside for you, you come back in 5 days and you can get it for free". I did not have to wait that long, as I was checking out and walked out the door, he asked me to open my bag and placed the longcoat within. Free Burberry Cashmere Longcoat :slayer:

Hauls today:
Canali Sport Coat recent
Dunhill Zegna Made Tweed (vintage, probable late 90's / early 00's judging by Zegna tag)
Burberry Cashmere Long Coat
2 Ralph Lauren Purple Label Shirts
1 Luciano Barbera Shirts

Passed on a very mint pair of Alden's due to square toes. Never would have thunked Alden would do such an evil thing.

Also passed on a pair of Versace Boots due to authenticity question marks and 70bucks no return policy :fu:

Best item pass today was a Loro Piana cashmere sport coat in tartan madras pattern. Reason for pass = someone scrocked ink all over it in 2 quarter sized smudges and numerous little spots as well. Great buttons as well, almost picked up for parts but decided $30 was too much for a set of horn buttons.

Quite happy with my haul today. Im 6 hours behind in my work, but i had fun and thats what counts.

Made an interesting observation today. Apparently you can barter with Goodwill staff. I heard a customer demand a price reduction of around 20% and they just gave it to him. Is this usual at all?

Given the commentary over taking money out of a coat that wasn't purchased, I can only imagine the shitstorm this thread will endure over this.

Maybe they recognized you. The other day the cashier at Savers filled up my half-full stamp card because she sees me there so often.

Yeah, filling up my stamp card is nowhere near the same as getting a cashmere coat for free. Not that I don't appreciate it, just pointing that out.
