All about house cut. Spoo has said he hates the cut of PRL, but it fits me to a tee. OTOH, Battistoni tends not to fit my proportions well, which MZHammer found out when I sent him a cashmere blazer.
Lubiam's Luigi Bianchi line fits me well, as long as it's a 54R.
Just sayin.
In case you find that EXACT jacket my size.

Query: does anyone know if FootJoy made casual (non-golf) shoes in exotic skins?  I ask because there were 3 pairs of men's size 9 shoes sitting together (presumably from the same donor), and one of them was a pair of black FootJoy's, marked "made in Italy", and appeared to be some sort of snake skin.  I didn't buy them, but I did buy the other 2 pair:

Left the nasty old odor-eaters in place until I got home - so it was a mystery brand:

Peeled off one of the odor-eaters at home - noice:

And these:

Why do they not look like any kind of ostrich I've ever seen??  (no feather bump thingers etc...)
Unless I'm wrong, 9 is Spooster's size, so I'd be expecting a PM from him aaaany time now.

Those Jourdans are Ostrich Leg actually.

OK then, back to GW I go tomorrow to grab them, if still there, and maybe someone can ID the poor animal what gave it's skin for them.  All 3 pairs were in the women's shoe section - left the FJ's there - hopefully still there when I return.

Ostrich Leg?!  They must have some big-ass legs - next time I'm at the Renaissance Faire [which will be the day after never] I'll ask for one instead of a turkey leg.

Thank you Wes-san!

Thanks bro's - I gotta git back there.  I'm clueless on skins - these are the first two I've ever found.

I find that Ostrich leg, while not having that stereotypical ostrich look, it is actually substantially more durable in the long run. A pair of Ostrich leg and kidskin lace ups were actually my first ever thrift pick up a couple years ago.

Some recent stuff. Haven't been able to get out/buy as much as I'd like lately between camping trips and moving and spending all my money at Ikea.

Rubinacci Gren - more maroon than pink like these photos would suggest. My camera always has the hardest time with reds.
