Ah - completely missed that - I'll look for that next time. Good thing there wasn't anything I wanted in my size on my past few visits or else I'd be regretting not seeing that sign even more.

I miswrote. Coat is actually a 24/6.

Hope you are not disappointed.

Will take pix later.

I'm trying to picture this. Is it triple breasted or something? The mind reels.

Triple breasted? Burn her! She is a witch! EDIT: Looked at it again...it is a 12/6 after all. Time for coffee. Back later.

That particular style of Polo suit is my thrifting Holy Grail. I've only seen them once or twice in thrift stores but never in my size. The one time I was really burnt on eBay was when I bought one marked 44 and it wasn't more than a 41-42.

Slim pickings today. Picked up an olive horizontal pinstripe shirt from Davelle by David for $8. Fit, build and feel are all very nice. Anyone in the NoVa or DC area know anything about Davelle's rep?

At Goodwill, a nice cognac pebblegrain pair of thick soled Nettleton Plain Toe bluchers in 8D $3.
Also found two pair of size 13C vintage Bostonian wingtips, one black pebblegrain and the other light brown pebblegrain. Both have the leather heel and v-cleat with 1/2 inch leather sole in very good shape. They fit me and are actually smaller in size than the black Barrie lasted 12D Alden Shell cordo Wingtips I wore to the store to buy them. $9.99 each. Perfect pickups for the winter.

I just bought some brown wool pants for $2 and a pair of shoes for $15. The pants are from a company called Tattersall LTD (a search provided no results for this company?). They feel like very high quality, but the wool is not the softest. Regardless, it fits me perfectly and is flat-front. Perfect for winter, both casual and for the office. The shoes have the softest leather I've ever felt, but they look very well worn. I made a thread about it (http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=151186) to see who makes it, but to be honest I'm not DYING to know. I was looking for something just like it when I came across it. It's a little more expensive than some of the other items at Goodwill, but $15 is still a bargain for a Made in Italy, super soft leather shoe.

I can't imagine Oxxford, Brioni and Isaia:
1) in my size (46R)
2) at those kind of prices in a resale shop.

I thrift only because the two men's resale shops we have in Dallas have those kinds of suits at $800+. Hell, one has a few Kitons at $1700 each!

You aren't kidding about Dallas resale shops. I went looking for solid navy suits today and the one on Oak Lawn didn't have anything decent for less than 800 bucks. I did find a gorgeous Prada at Rethreads that I will probably go back for after the next pricedown, assuming it's stll there.

E Burgundy calf belt
Angelo Villonce (?) Made in italy belt--stretchy woven baby yellow and baby blue
And the big one: Sport coat in my exact size--slim fitting, medium-skinny lapel, decently high gorge, Alexandre Oxford Street-London. Made in England, tailored expressly for (name omitted). Real deal Savile Row tailor? I can't tell whether it's MTM or bespoke, but I suspect it's from the 60's. In any case, the condition is fantastic.

Decent day:

Zegna shirt, blue-gray with check stripe
Ike Behar pink and gray stripe button down
Nice looking burgundy wingtips from Hanover (any info on this company? they cleaned up well)
and two pretty plaid shirts from Lyle and Scott of Scotland, never heard anything about them, but the shirts seemed nicely put together, anybody know anything about them? the website's pretty decent.
