Hit up a shop today because I'd heard it was currently 75% off the whole store and picked up that Brooks Bros makers charcoal sport coat in my size I first saw back in mid August at $55. The discount made it a bit more realistic to say the least.

More finds at Marshalls -
I think this was $999

This seemed like a decent deal, think it was $199

These are alright, right? $70ish

Overall, stoked that none of this stuff is my size.

Holy crap ray you have been on a hot streak lately. Wonder what you picked up if that's what you left behind... Dibs if my size lol

Oh, not really. I'm just saying there isn't much grail worthy stuff in SF. I had like maybe.. $200 left of credit/cash lol. Didn't find anything mind blowing. Will post tomorrow.

Where was this? Marshalls? Why can't my Marshalls have stuff like this?

Does anyone know if Marshalls/TJ Maxx has any kind of central distribution? I'm guessing not. As far as I know, the top mass-retail chain in our area is Macy's, which explains why the discounters don't carry things like RLPL: there's no one to get it from. I have to admit I haven't been stopping in all that much, but all of the suits have been garbage and the best items I've seen is some of the mediocre RL Polo.

Makes sense to me. I've never seen anything better than US Polo Association at ours...JC Penney/Sears/Target are probably the top retail stores in our area.

On another note....My Secret Santa Thriftmas Gift(s) has been shipped. Hoping the recipient will be happy and find some of the items useful.

Per their website, they have a total of 2,900 retail outlets world wide, they also have employment opportunities at "distribution centers". My guess is that they try to minimize shipments and may have regional distribution. That would explain the limited distribution of some brands.

What not to do on a buy one get one free day at GW:

Anyone else here as stupid as me?
Two transactions would have solved this, but that's why I get paid the big bucks

Grenson Masterpiece also does, as well as a similar looking heel/sole pattern. The most definitive identification would go off of last info. EG would have lasts like 89, 888, 202, etc. Here's a Grenson Masterpiece example:

The frame around the RLPL and made in England script is more reminiscent of older EG, so I'll hazard a guess in that direction as well, though.
Way to tease me with that picture

I never got an answer as to who makes these, but if anyone is interested they're available. 34w 30.5 inseam, with about an inch to lengthen. Let me know, thanks.

Speaking of branded cloth...I found these seemingly unworn Loro Piana "CashPima" Velvet (Cashmere & cotton) Lime Green Corduroys in a church basement thrift store. They have a split waistband are nicely lined with a variety of interior fabrics (even the hems are lined), have a small coin pocket, have suspender buttons, sized "34r" but nowhere is a brand label. I have Loro Piana branded cords, found in a GW, and these are totally dissimilar, more like the Incotex pants I've found. The thrift normally has LL Bean at the high end, but last week I found a beautiful Etro paisley tie for $1, so I kept looking, and now this.

Any help identifying them?

Only real label:
LL

Hem folded back:
LL

Pocket has an inspection sticker, any clue?
LL

Split waistband

Flat front, coin pocket

Looking for help.
Out of town hitting my old thrifts pretty hard today. Came across a few ties with a strange tag. It's a little man standing in front of a horse and buggy. Being from pa, I naturally assume they are some sort of Amish brand. Not sure why they would say France though. Should I kop? $2 a piece seems kinda high.
Humblebrag

Hopefully these will help pay for my wife's 2 day Christmas shopping spree....

My first Saville Row bespoke today, after many year's of thrifting and it has a very sad ending.

The Welsh & Jefferies was a double breasted. The Plews an orphaned dinner jacket. Both moth bitten beyond repair. Very sad.

The only saving grace at the store where I saw the trashed Saville Row items was the Banana Republic I am looking for. Unlined cotton duster in excellent condition save some wear to the leather on the belt buckle. It is XS, Brian.
