I paid nearly that much for a moth-eaten cardigan that was a little older and was more than happy with the price. If it's something you'll wear and is in great condition, go for it. Even at that price it's cheaper than something similar new.
This thread has already discussed this in great lengths about a year back. The result...we all still thrift, and no one boycotts goodwill, rather counters with purchasing more to exploit them for profits
Its the game of life...
I just make sure my decent donations go to a small shop that benefits a local hospital and the crap that isn't quite headed to the rubbish bin goes to Goodwill.
Hello everyone, I've been thrifting for probably 4-5 years now, for both myself and flipping purposes, and have occasionally popped in to lurk this thread. Decided to make an account finally. Glad to be here!
Yesterday's 4th of July sale (50% off) at one store brought in everything below. Not pictured: Adriano Goldschmied Supply olive chinos and a Paul Smith Jeans plaid shirt, both for myself. Do people in this thread trade? I'm not sure how the mechanics of that works here but would appreciate if a thread veteran could shoot me a quick PM on the ropes.

I've been reading The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, lately. Of course, it's 100 years old, but exploiting workers has always been the American/Capitalist way.
I just applied to med school.
Well kinda? Since my application still has to get verified and then I have to do school specific applications. I should have applied like 2 weeks ago, but I should be in okay shape I think.
If I survive this process with a penny left in the bank it'll be a miracle. I'm applying to 30 schools.
