You, @Cotton Dockers, @SpooPoker, and anyone else?

Couple more recent finds that are worthy of a mention:

Untagged 50L older Burberry Blazer with gorgeous buttons, amazing how slim a clothespin can make it look!

Oxxford 2 Piece once again no tagged size but measures like a 42 with short functional cuffed sleeves (24").  Slacks 36/30.  unfortunately a small bit of damage or repair job on the slacks, but still worth reviving from the thrift store.

Found an older EZ Suit for a local company, Garvey's, Peak lapel, single breasted. Seeing if the tailor can let out the arms.
If so, scored a nice suit for $12.50! The gorge is pretty high, which I cannot wait to wear!

Ohhhhh, that's why you were selling off lots of goodies a few weeks ago! Make sense now! Are you still a size 42 or close to a 40?

There was a discussion about this on this thread about a year ago, with a lengthy rebuttal from an SFer who had some experience working for Goodwill. It's not a cut and dry issue, and it's worth exploring in a bit more depth -- but I don't feel like searching for it here. Give it a try though, if you're interested.

Off to the somewhat new outlet mall just outside of Oakville, Ontario, then possibly hitting the thrift shops along the way! I prayed to the thrift gods to leave Kitons and Slowear out for $8.99! Also, Hup Holland Hup! 3pm kick off!

You know you have the sickness when you dream of thrifting two NWT Kiton sweaters, only to discover they're knockoffs when you get to the register.

who is exploiting charity?     Goodwill?  or those who seek to profit from Goodwill?        who is the vulture?

Whenever I feel bad about seeking profit from Goodwill I remember how I have $80K in student loan debt and how I'm actually a pretty good candidate for some charity.

I think the big news here is that http://thriftygent.com has some new content after a 6 month hiatus :hide:
