The measurements look to be a 40. This is my size too but knowing my luck the BOC length is prolly like 31. I hope you get a good price for it!

41 ish, but with functional cuffs at 24", can't really be shortened.

Off to umpire a little baseball 4:45pm start, game time temp 78 degrees...

I haven't done a fit lately. Let's remedy that. I'm determined to ascend the stylishness pecking order up in here. Is this busy? Would it have violated fewer rules if the collar weren't cutaway? Would it have looked better with gray trou and suede shoes? I think we all know the answers to all of the above. But what fun would any of that have been?
Deets: SC: Canali army green twill weave with rust and burgundy overcheck (yes, my whitebalance sucks. I'm sorry. Sue me. Thrifted by me Shirt: BB purple label white with mustard and blue windowpane, thrifted by me Tie: BB cashmere blend houndstooth, bought by me on SF B&S Square: unknown, hand-rolled, matte silk Trou: BB Barbera Canonico, traded with a dude here Shoes: Alden shell shortwings, from Catside with a huge IOU.
Busy? Yes, but I really like it. That tie is amazing. It's a bit incongruent as far as formality is concerned (shirt/tie), but overall, I do sincerely like the colors.
I got this pair of Pantanetti distressed chelsea boots from Winners today. This pair was mis priced and luckily happened to be in my size. They had a few pairs there all priced at $229 with the original retail price being $500 and this one had a different tag on them with a $49.99 price. I have been looking for a pair of chelsea boots for a while so it was a good day for me. I dont know a lot about this brand but they look to be pretty decent quality and they arent over embellished like most of the other things I come across at Winners.

Love the boots and the price is unbelievable (to boot :D )

My wife looked at me tonight and said "Uh oh, I see beer an a page open to eBay!" Anyway, I was trying to win about 6 auctions on some Hermés ties and I ended up winning one. It wasn't my favorite and got to my highest bid in the last seconds, but I pulled through to get it. Anyway, I might sell it as I'm not sure it's a color scheme that will work for me. Tell me what you think:

Re: Christian Dior pocket squares/scarves....why not? I have a couple that I paid next to nothing and they're silk, handrolled and in colour schemes that worked for me. I don't use them often, but it's not like I'm going to advertise the Christian Dior that's printed on them :D

Does anyone know anything about this brand? Is the quality decent? I dont know if I would have paid over $200 for them but for $50 they are most certainly worth it.

One of the more frustrating aspects of my day is knowing that by the time I can check this thread, all the good stuff has been dibbed multiple times over.

I guess I should feel good that I don't have greater frustrations....but here I am.

Being 7 hours ahead of the thread, I can honestly say that I feel your pain.

I've offered these up to a couple of people via PM, but I've had no takers as of yet. Therefore, I'll offer them here:

I have a pair of NWOT, unhemmed flat front khakis by PRL. They're a size 32 and would probably accomodate up to a size 33ish. If anyone wants them, you can have them for what I got them on eBay + shipping. PM me if you're interested!

You mean you were going to trade them to me, right?

Anyway, on the dior square, I get it that nobody needs to know. That's how I use mine. My surprise was on the value.

And: thanks for all the compliments, guys. When I first started, I needed to learn fit and to up my shoe game. Trouser length debate aside, I've got that down now. Then I needed to learn color match, especially with mixing pocket squares in. Now my struggle is with the rules about mixing formal and informal shirts, which ties are appropriate with which sport coats. Those rules seem overly fussy to me, plus -- and I say this as a guy with waaaaaay too many shirts -- who has that many shirts that you can get color match AND both french and button cuffs?? But hopefully I'm getting better, if incrementally, while still keeping my whimsical/peacock tendencies. (Again, after all, this is supposed to be fun!).

Love it! I watched the entire clip and, translating, my wife said "do what you'll do!" I put that on the same page as "set it and forget it!"

That is to say that she has no idea why I spend so much time buying and discussing clothing, but nevertheless she gets that I enjoy it! I even mentioned that I was surprised when she suggested we go to Vienna on Monday early to hit some thrift stores. Needless to say, I'm going to take her up on her offer!

Found a couple of the nicest Brioni shirts I have ever seen. Thick MOP buttons and hand sewn button holes. Also have very nice cut away collars. Ive always seen the Brioni shirts with fugly collars and lack luster sewing etc. These must be MTM or came from Europe. $5.00 for the pair @ Goodwill. Passed on two Corneliani SC's that were likely early 2000's.

Great to see you're still in the game! Nice finds!!

Nor-cal expressions: "OMG", "Like", and "Hella". It's like you saying "Yo", “Aaaaay! Ooooh!”, and "Friggin' Giants" from Jersey. Well, kinda...Not really?

Huh. I have a good friend who lived in San Francisco for a long time and have never heard those.

You know who,,,

:slayer::slayer:

Strange you mention mentally disabled...saw this today and wondered how long ago it was to be able to get away with this.

Label is dated 1985 so not long ago at all. Wow.....

A large chain of local thrift stores is called ARC (Association for marsupialed Citizens), though they don't advertise the acronym as meaning anything other than benefitting the mentally handicapped.

Seriously? Wow. Never knew what ARC stood for....

I know nothing about men's suspenders, but the completed listings seem positive for Limited Edition Trafalgar.

Nataku, I hate to dredge up bad memories, but...

Nooooooooooooooooooooo.......

Seriously though, I'm over it. Good learning experience for me and a lot of on-lookers, I did pick up another very interesting Ralph Lauren find today though. Will post deets in a while.

That collection looks really interesting. Tons of cool stuff. Wonder if it'll affect the value of the true vintage stuff any.
