I saw a comment a few pages back about the LL Bean Chamois shirt. First off I've been looking for an XL forever and haven't seen one. But the kicker is I would only get one if it was made in the US or Canada. I've picked up three Bean Canadian flannels for myself and they are so much nicer than the current imported version.

Just my .02, but I think the demand is for the older stuff.

First of all, big shout out to Capnwes, he got a package over to incredibly fast. In fact, he got it over here so quickly that I haven't gotten his sent yet I'll get it out soon, Wes, I promise! I now have one of the heaviest coats I've ever seen in my closet and it will get good use and pics soon.

I also received something I had hoped would make it today. A couple of weeks ago, I posted about a fur collar cashmere/wool coat that I wanted to buy. It was this:

Well, I bought it and it made it here today. I love it, but it's ridiculous. I'm not sure how I should wear it or whether, in fact, it should wear me. Anyway, it's a 50/50 cashmere/wool Aquascutum with what I believe is beaver fur collar. I may get it shortened a bit. I tried it a number of ways and naturally they all looked over the top because it's a ******* fur collared overcoat. No dressing this thing down. Anyway, I thought I'd post some pictures of it.

How well do Zanella jackets sell on the Bay? I see them occasionally at one shop in town.

Used. Not too great. I once sold a NWT one for $60 or so, though. They are really nicely made, IMO. I wish I knew someone who carried them so I can find my true size in them.

Just curious, but what is your opinion on the Made-in-Portugal LL Bean chamois cloth shirts? I'm thinking of getting a few out of the catalog I got a few weeks ago and using my 15% off the entire order coupon. The little article about them says they are made in Portugal. I figure that can't be all bad as Incotex are made there.
