I'd call it awesome. Remind me to post a fit pic of the smoking robe I just picked up last week, I just got it back from the cleaners.

Church's custom-grade elephant hide derby. Nearly brand new... I don't think there are more than a few hours of wear on the soles. To my knowledge it has been decades since Church's used elephant, so these are a fine pair of pre-Prada shoes that I am looking forward to wearing.
...$35.

Very well done! Take care of them, and they'll still be kicking when you're not.

Should I keep the navy etro Blazer I found and just find a random pair of Navy trousers? Has anyone done this before?

To fake a suit? You won't get away with it, and anybody who notices will think you don't know any better.

Get a random pair of gray trousers, and you'll be alright.

I had a fairly good day but it's dog park time right now. But before I run out the door, is this anything special other than being RL Alligator? It's the Purple Label script, but nothings purple.

Proper pics to come tomorrow - sorry to ask and dash.

Thanks for the advice, what shade gray works the best?

Can I file the bullet under "Weird things found in the pockets of thrift purchases"?

@Nataku are you familiar with this brand? Made in Japan, cool vintage backpack.

I've added own, and wear on a regular basis, a pair of elephant hide shoes to my bucket list.

God yes.  I'm going to use some simple man logic here.  There's a strong chance that a man who owns Aldens also golfs.  There is also a strong chance that a man who can afford a pair of Aldens can afford another pair of Aldens.  Couple those together with the fact that it's time to tee off into the prime golf season for many of us and you're looking at some $$.

So you're who beat me out on those, and they were local for me too. Bah.

One cool item, my Nieman Marcus ties showed up:

They're nice.  Oh, and by a fairly reputable maker to boot.  I wasn't the only one that picked up on this auction, they went for a little more than a normal NM tie.
