Thrift fit today... Horrible pics, sorry. iPhone doesn't understand that dark things are SUPPOSED to be dark. Feedback and suggestions welcome. I've been trying to figure out good ways to wear these blackwatch flannel vintage BB pants...
Navy wool shawl cardigan, J Crew from Mainy
Navy checked OCDB, Brooks Brothers, thrifted by me
Burgundy linen tie, PRL from 330ck
Blackwatch flannel pants, BB thrifted NWOT by me
AE shell cordovan Cambridge from Patrologia

Also threw on the Oxxford overcoat Guitar Preacher proxied for me last year

Today's finds.

G star t shirt. Fits like a slim large. Woolrich long sleeve fits like a small medium. Both available.

For myself. Woolrich that fits me. And these beautiful shoes. Who makes these?

Looks real, but appears to missing the main belt. Pretty old. Worth 50-100 ebay bucks depending on the day.

Ughh. If, somehow, some way, you manage to see the NWT pairs still there if you go back, and they are in the realm of 34-36R, I'd love a proxy if you don't mind.

Yeah, I put out a PSA to see whether they were worth a pickup at $30, but my phone ran out of battery before I could get the response. So I only picked up the 2 NWOT pairs ..... and left the 2 NWT pairs (for $60 each).

Both true. But I've owned a couple and they're really well made and canvased. Styling is pretty classic since I think they were intended to be the "executive" suit, so didn't get too into the low gorge or any crazyness. So, imho, for yourself they'll make a decent staple (unless you live in LA and wipe your ass with Kiton).
This is the funniest.... I can't even.

I passed up a lot of really great Kiton ties, but I am hoping to return with a vengeance if they have a great black Friday or after Christmas sale. 30% off the clearance priced ties is pretty good, but we might see a 40%, or possibly even a 50% off day sometime between now and the weeks following Christmas. Same goes for Off Saks, although their tie selection (brands and quantity) at the location near me is not as good as NM Last Call.
Picked up a pretty nice silver PRL tie at lunch.

Can someone explain to me NM Last call? Boston store's events says the "first call" sale is currently on going and starting thursday is a "3-day spree" is that count as the last call? Everyone's pick ups from this thing have been real nice and I want to get in on the action/

Some great finds from you guys lately. I am encouraged that the thrifts will be good to me over the next couple of weeks because all the Halloween costume hunters are gone and the ugly Christmas sweater hunters wont be out for a couple of weeks.
Picked up this pair of Brunello Cucinelli flat fron khakis. 36X 33.5 available

Drooool...

Big shout outs to Ken P for a good trade. That Orvis twill vest fits me like a glove! I hope you find those blackwatch pants to your liking! :fistbump:

Just got them today! Thanks for including the shirt too! Pants fit really well, I thought I was going to have to get them hemmed but they fit perfectly. Stay tuned for a thrift fit...

Made the trek out to a store outside my usual circuit today. Was about to chalk it up to a loss when literally the last thing I looked at was:

Not a brand I would have ever guessed I would have happened upon in a thrift, For those unfamiliar they are a young SWD from london. Along the lines of Vivism or Norse Projects. Their shirts usually sell for around $200 new. It fits me but not sure how I would wear it so available. Tag size 4, equals about a slim medium.

Oh sunday, I left behind a vintage brooks bros makers navy wool sack suit. They wanted a bit more than I was willing to spend and I figured it was something that Typhoid Jones was destined to find.

Ah yep. I was planning on making a trip down to RI this upcoming weekend anyways, going to have to stop by Wrentham I guess. And my thoughts exactly about the Folk shirt.

Edit: Just realized there isn't a NM at wrentham. Shucks.

Wow - Folk in a thrift! I've never even seen a piece in person, only online.

Hey guys, been reading the forums for awhile and finally got out to get some things myself. Found this Valentino this afternoon for $7.99. I remember reading something about some of them being better than others because of when/who made them. From what I can recall, which may be totally wrong, they were made at the same place as some Armani stuff. Ive attached a pic of the label. Not sure why the close up pic makes it look so grey. Any information would be great as im trying to learn as much as I can.
Thanks

It's really hard keeping up with this thread if you only check in once a week.  Nice finds, everyone!  I now feel a bit ashamed of my meager finds this past weekend.

Some Scottish wool ties and some silk knits for myself.

That's not meager in my book. If that HT brown herringbone sack is in the 44-46 range, get at me.

Pnut, that aquascutum coat is AWESOME.

After meditating on Rainier to contemplate my supreme noobishness, I again broached the domain of the thrift gods...

successfully!

Luciano Barbera Collezione Sartoriale blazer, PURE CASHMERE :)

All of the stitching actually is done by hand. Shame my camera isn't good enough to pick up on it.
