Didn't someone mention yesterday that Malo was bueno?

I think it needs a sweater stone taken to it, and luckily the content tag was still there (hanging by a thread). Strange yellow/olive green mix, soft as clouds.

Definitely bueno - I picked up two Malos in the same size as you and they sold within hours of me putting them on eBay - I probably should have asked a bit more for my BIN but oh well.

So I have a midterm tomorrow, which means I just watched a whole seasons of shows and this time, I watched "Suits". It was so obvious one of the main characters was wearing a Tom Ford suit. And now I see what's the hype about them.

Anyways, my apologies to everyone whom I've proxied for/traded with. Homework, resumes and midterms have had me on lockdown. I'll everything out on Wednesday of next week.

I honestly don't know how DM7 does it, I'm taking the same exact classes as he is (real analysis and abstract algebra), maybe my school is harder? :foo:

With that, big thanks to Ken P for proxing the Hermes shirts for me. They fit like a charm! I'll get your stuff out as I've mentioned above, but I'll probably throw in a little bonus for you.

A bit of a warning as well. I've talked out a trade with member rabbiluongo and he has says he has shipped, but I haven't received nor have gotten any word from him. While I haven't shipped either, I did tell him I would ship once I received his package, which, never came. Just a warning, maybe he does have an explanation and I'd love to edit this saying so.

And I guess this is really, really, really late. But shout out to main-dog for hooking me big time. Not only did he let me use his company for my own benefit, he let me borrow over a grand before even receiving any collateral from me. Good man that Connor.

Oh yeah, some finds from the past couple weeks that I've never bother posting.

Other than the Savile Row stuff I mentioned, there's also:

A bomb Carroll & Co safari jacket with a fur trim.
Another Bogogli Coat, in a rare, royal blue.
Borrelli linen shirt in a rare, coral red/orange.
Recent Zegna blazer.

I posted this on the label thread, but haven't yet heard anything. These ebay shoes seem like they're worth picking up, but I don't really know. Any help with a maker? These are tagged Ralph Lauren made in italy. I should probably just leave them be, huh?

I KNOW one of you guys knows something about Hudson Bay point blankets, maybe one of our neighbors to the North? What can anyone tell me about this label, the research i've done so far seems to indicate that its from the 20's? Possibly worth a few hundred? Its a 4 point.

WAY jealous. I've wanted one of those forever, but not willing to pay Just a matter of time...

Are they women's? The font looks to be from the 1980s and I haven't ever had a lot of luck coming up with makers for Italian RL stuff from that time. They're probably of good quality but if you're looking to flip, they might be difficult. RL did a lot of oxford type shoes for women in the '80s and occasionally people mistakenly list them as men's.

I'm finally starting to buy things I know won't fit. I may try my hand at eBay. (The Disease begins, I guess.) Here are a few things from today.

Allen Edmonds McAllister, very nice 11D (but I'm a ~9.5).

A crisp Canali shirt with French cuffs, ready for some of Wes's cufflinks, tagged 43 / 17.

Canali sport coat, 3 button, tagged EURO 58. Way too big for me, alas.

LL

Pal Zileri Concept sport coat, tagged a EURO 56 dammit.

Pal Zileri tagged EURO 54. I'm usually a 52, but I'm going to *try* to make this work (not recommended, I'm told)...

LL

Canali Proposta, EURO 52L. Although I'm a 52R, I'm going to TRY once again to make this one work for me as well (or maybe I should do something less futile, like shoot myself):

Ermenegildo Zegna Su Misura shirt, French cuffs, cool but businesslike pattern and texture, but fits like an XL which is about 2 sizes too big for me. Plus it has a monogram. :( Although that can be removed using the needle and xacto knife method, it's work I don't want to fool with. It was only $3, though. Willing to send this to whoever wants it at cost plus actual shipping. Otherwise it becomes a chihuahua blanket.

And the obligatory Robert Graham shirt, sized XL. I will say that this is the nicest one I've ever seen outside of Nordstrom, although I personally couldn't handle this even if it was my size (M). People must give these to their husbands, sons, brothers, or dads, and then they sit in a closet for a few months until said giftees quietly donate them. One really shouldn't gift something as personal as a skeet blanket.

LL

I passed on three pairs of non-unicorn Zanella trousers. Was that a mistake? Do they sell on eBay? I also passed on two Harris Tweed sport coats. Another mistake?
Good finds all around. Potential trade partner as it sounds like we are the same size down to the shoes (9.5 :slayer: ). I've started to pass on the pleated Zanellas because I don't want to contribute to the nationwide paunchiness problem :embar: . You can probably flip them ok, though. At least leave behind the 3pl pleated ones cause you are reminding us of our 90s infatuation w/Tony Soprano.

I'd return if you can. Those are really nothing special.

And Faconnable can be nice if it fits you, but tends not to sell. Unfortunately every Faconnable shirt I've found has been rather tenty.

Thanks, I ended up returning today

Looking forward to it! Good luck with your midterm. When you get a chance, PM me the measurements on that Boglioli :nodding:

Thought I hit gold with a Zegna pure cashmere SC only to find it was unvented. However I did pick up a badass vintage Woolrich Woolen Mill Jacket. Details to follow this evening!

I LOL'd. I agree, though - don't pick up the 3 pleated ones, but 1 or 2 pleats will sell - maybe not for much, but they will sell - if in good condition and whatnot. Use your best judgment.

Would pick that up even if unvented. A decent name + cashmere means someone will usually want it. I had a Geoffrey Beene cashmere jacket that sold - it was unvented, but it had Loro Piana cashmere, if I remember right. Especially in the fall, someone will go for a random cashmere jacket sometimes, even without a name... but a name gets you views, which are really the hard part.

Edit: spelling. Also - be really careful of damage on that Zegna SC - I've seen two, ever, and both of them had major moth concerns.

I'm going to guess the consensus here is going to be to get the Zegna SC anyway.

Looks like I am making a trip to Goodwill after work. Hopefully it will still be there....

Found a pair of matching Orvis luggage pieces at GW yesterday. Both in like-new condition and I got the pair for 11.98 plus tax! Really an awesome pickup because I needed a new carry on. I found the briefcase and got so excited that it was only 4.99 that I just about ran to the register rather than snooping for more pieces. Good thing I did or I would have missed the Carry on!

May go back next week to see if any other pieces turn up.
