I'd pass on both. 346 is their diffusion line, the lowest on the totem pole. Plus, that looks like an orphan suit jacket. The linen one is older and looks dated.

I recently picked up a Brooks Brothers Makers Hand tailored suit (not brooksease) and it was fully canvased made inUSA with a lot of hand detailing. i'd go back and check it out if i were you.

i also picked up a brooksease tuxedo that was alright, much better than the quality you can get at rent-a-tux stores, plus for $40..

Not exactly thrifting, but I had a good score last weekend at an antique shop. We were on a country drive and I just looked into this shop on the off-chance. Surprisingly they had a big range of antique cufflinks that they'd got from a US estate sale. I picked up 3 sets of double-sided antique links for under $100. Will post pictures on the cufflinks thread soon.

are all bills cut really baggy? i've got big legs, but a pair i bought off b&S were HUGE on me. ended up giving them away. no way to even tailor them down.

Ditto with the double pleats. I bought 4 pairs for USD100 and then paid for shortening and they all ened up at Vinnies.

Hi everyone, I've been a thrifter for just under a year and just recently scored a few items, not quite as impressive as some of the finds in this thread, but it's enough for me. A pair of Allen Edmonds a week prior, and these, one next to another at Salvation Army... Some other finds I've come across are a vintage Christian Dior french cuff buttonup, a black BNWOT J. Lindeberg dress shirt with removable collar, and a pristine made in Italy oxford by a company called Cinquini.

A Stefano Ricci tie. The hand on this silk is incredible.




Cool Stromberg-Carlson radio from the mid-late 40s, works perfectly.

Got some RL Purple Label 9757 sunglasses today for just under $30. They're kind of like an super-simplified Persol 714 (which I was itching to buy).

2 Barney's New York ties - like new condition, great patterns

1 pair Hugo Boss jeans - my size, dark wash, perfect fit

1 pair of like new Chip and Pepper jeans - my size, awesome fabric feel

The beads do move, but they're really too small to make any noise. They'e actually kind of a problem, it's easy to polish the body of the cufflinks, but nearly impossible to clean and polish below the wires.

Vinyl's another whole adventure isn't it? I started out with folk and folk rock, but the collection's sort of taken on a life of its own. You could pretty much find anything from 50s Mambo to some limited modern selections in there. A couple years ago space started becoming an issue and I've really slowed down. Truth be told, I'm planning on moving soon and I'm seriously dreading moving all the records... Downsizing may be in my future.

I have two pairs of those glasses, one in tortoise and the other in black. Great glasses. And you got them at a ridiculous price. They retail for about $450! Did you get them at a thrift?

Brooks is pretty easily found in the thrift shops, especially the brooksease and 346 orphaned coats. I woudn't pick those up unless you plan on wearing it.
