John Varvatos boots are sick, I tell ya, sick. I almost popped my varicose veins when I saw them and realized they were a size 11 and thus too small.

Wow, got another from him and it's in English!
Tomorow i will open a case on E-bay protection because you are not corect with me. I never told you something adversarial.
this mail it will be send on e-bay to profe that i am a good and reliable buyer and you are .............i don't know

Wow, do not envy you man. Sounds like a complete nutter / rip off artist. If he leaves you negative, definitely involve eBay in terms of its removal since if they know about your issue and it is logged in their system, they will attribute it to sour grapes.

Somewhat off topic thrifts for today:
I've wanted one for a while. Steamed it over the stove already and have to replace the hatband but I was thinking this:

I love hats. I want one of these:

I am dead serious as well :nodding:

That's really beautiful...

Found in your neck of the woods as well, now if ever one of these pops up in 46L, you know who will be first customer in queue .

Love it! No offence taken.

That first picture is a visual representation of what Nick Tosches wrote when Dean Martin died. Something like: Dean Martin had the voice that every man thinks he has when he sings in the shower.

So magic eraser is the key to removing the marker on soles? Sweet. What about general grime on leather soles? Yes I know there's a shoe care thread, but it doesn't have a lot on that. Those Trickers slippers I found a while back have wear, but more so a layer of dirt in the wear zone I'd like to clean off. Did I mention Tricker's states the embroidery on them is real gold? (well, at least some percentage)

What brand is HH? I saw a few items by them and passed :puzzled:

More Sharpie.

I may or may not have added an extra number to the front in the past when I couldn't get it off.

Few pickups from the last few days, nothing spectacular but a few OK/decent finds, all available:

Banana Republic ( I know, but thought someone might want it for a summer suit) 60% cotton/40% linen 38R tag,
17.5" shoulders, 19" pit to pit, sleeve 24.5- Pants- Tag 32x 32 but seem to have been taken in to @ 28" waist, appx. 4" to let out, 32" +1 inseam

J Press Hunter Green partially lined blazer (feels like a wool blend to me), probably @ 42 + (19" shoulders, 23 pit to pit), lining at end of sleeved needs to be re-stitched

Orvis Wool Blend 6x2 Double breasted w/ sweet orvis buttons, Size 44

Hawes & Curtis 16.5 x 34 (fits a little smaller though, maybe 16 ish?) FC, Filson size L

Canali striped silk/cotton, Etro paisley silk

Woolrich Flannel lined rain parka, XXL but prob fits like a XL

Facconable rain resistant jacket, size L

Hey all - a bit of a rookie at thrifting. Have only been a couple times. Went today with the girl to specifically hunt for shoes or blazers.

Ended up finding these. Got them for $45. Can anyone help me verify them?

Salvatore Ferragamo. They said that they had just been brought in today so I got pretty lucky. Any help is appreciated :)

EDIT: look exceptionally like
