But, you may ask, why is this EPIC?
Looking at the buttons, they looked kinda like plastic and I thought I could replace them with horn, but upon further inspection:
14K GOLD BUTTONS!!!!!
Their marked Lindsay 14K on one end and 14K on the other. A little sleuthing turned up Lindsay & Co. of New York http://lindsayco.com/ and their on line catalog. There are matching cuff links on page 20, but the buttons are on page 32. Called the company and the sales rep said that the buttons are solid 14K gold (have 2 jacket and 4 cuff buttons) and the retail replacement cost for the jacket buttons at a jeweler is around $700-$1000 each and the cuff buttons about $400-$500 each.
But it's for me. To ride.
I set up my unpaid item assistant to open a case after 4 days. 4 days after the case is opened it's closed in your favor if they haven't paid, and the item is automatically relisted.Related to eBay:
eBay Listing BIN with offer, I accept offer from buyer, 5 days later I aint heard **** and no payment. Contact buyer asking him to LMK if he still wants to pay, hear nothing back for 3 days.
Dont want to suck the eBay fees, so will hit buyer with item not paid so eBay can refund fees. How long is it ethical to dish out one of these? I used to wait a couple of weeks before doing it but I want to relist the item ASAP.
42 generally correlates to a 36. I'm always torn on posting the tagged or measured size. Measured size just gives ammo to SNAD cases and tagged size makes the wrong people view your item.

The tagged size was not mentioned in the auction. Only answered as a question. Anyone who buys stuff based on tagged size and not measurements is a moron. Plus the guy freely admits he's a 31" waist and wanted to tailor it down. There is no way I'd personally look to take in a pair of pants three inches.
Open everyday. So technically just 14 days.

For some reason I don't think the buttons are gonna stay on the jacket! Will have to consult the wise one, SPOO, and see if the "clothing" value of the jacket with gold buttons would be worth more than the value of the buttons.
I give buyers 10 days to pay. On day 6, I open an Unpaid case and send them an friendly reminder email explaining that they still have 4 days to pay (or tell me they don't want the item) without penalty. Was considering automating it with the 4 or 8 day option.Related to eBay:

The thing is, folks who start out with crappy bikes don't tend to ride for very long because a, crappy bikes are uncomfortable due to frame geometry and bad seats, and it takes a tremendous amount of energy to get from point a to point b because they weigh a ton. The components--derailleurs, brakes, etc.--are cheap and so tend to go out of adjustment quickly, which makes riding even harder. And so the bike inevitably ends up gathering dust in a basement or garage after a month or two. Folks justify crappy bikes by saying, it's cheap and only for around town, which may, in fact, be the case. But you'll enjoy cycling way, way more, whether you're riding two miles or 200, if you have a quality bicycle. They are out there, you just have to look for them and have a bit of patience.
You could ride 25 miles on a well-made bicycle much easier than you could ride five miles on that Huffy. Riding a Huffy turns into a chore very quickly. Riding a decent bike can be a daylong journey of joy. Trust me on this, and if you won't, then go to a bike shop after you've ridden the Huffy for a week or so and ask to test ride a mid-level bike, something with an MSRP of around $500. You will instantly know what I am talking about. I can still remember my first ride on a decent bike, and that was 35 years ago. Changed my life.
