I am not ashamed to admit I have kept a Robert Stock [oops it's Robert Alexander, my bad] camelhair square-pattern jacket from my earliest Thrift Thread days because it fits, the shoulders are good, it goes with everything, and it's still looking practically new.

That being said, I got a couple titles for our book:

Bert Pullitzer's War on Menswear

Punching Ron Chereskin in the Face

or

Silvery Five Fingers in GW Stall #3

Didn't forget to post last night. Got back from visiting D.C. late and then my car seemed to be having some weird issue which thankfully just looks like an exhaust leak (I swear that having a Land Rover has prepared me for being married). In any case, got pictures of the find. Only thing I did notice is that on one of the shoulders/pit area inside needs it's lining restiched before the lining tears down the arm. Thankfully the stitching is coming out cleanly by the seam, so it should probably be free from a tailor you're cool with or about $5-$10 from a cleaners. Pics:

Looking to hopefully proxy this to someone in the hopes that you all will keep me in mind for any balmorals or something I'm looking for. Otherwise, willing to trade for some 30 pants that are decent, shoes (balmorals preferred) 9-9.5D, or any staple suits from any decent maker. Not really looking to make a bunch of money but if I can't find someone I know in the thread to proxy it to I'll let it go cheap. Gotta get measurements later, have an associate event and whatnot tonight, but it's a 40R and looks to not have been tailored.

Also, damn why are these pics so big? Maybe my office screen is small but the seem huge.

OT, but Gah!

Over 2 weeks later someone wants to return a SC I sold them because it doesn't fit. For you guys who list as no return, what do you say to people in this case? I mean, this is why I include comprehensive measurements.

I accept returns, but I do this.

Quote from my listings:

Please refer to the actual measurements of this jacket for proper sizing. The tagged size can often be incorrect due to either post manufacturing alterations or your actual physical measurements. The estimated untagged size is for reference only, please know what measurement requirements you need to fit your frame before bidding. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Plus this Quote from my Terms and Conditions Section:
 • Returns are accepted only if the item is not as described in the listing.
 • Items must be returned within 14 business days.
 • Returns on clothing items with detailed measurements are subject to a 10% restocking fee.
 • Buyer pays all return shipping charges, unless I decide otherwise.
 • Please contact me before returning the item, to see if we can work something out.
 • Buyer must supply a delivery confirmation / tracking number for returned packages.

Then there is this in my Q&A section, when the buyer attempts to ask a question about returns.

Q. I bought a suit/pair of shoes and they don't fit. Can I return them?
A. Yes. Typically returns are only accepted if the item was not as described in the listing. In the case that the suit/shoes simply do not fit, I will refund 90% of the sale price. Any shipping cost associated with the item will be the responsibility of the buyer.

Checking in from Brazil, this thread moves at a rapid pace! There is no thrifting to be had down here, just good food, weather, and chill people!
