First not unvented Corneliani anything I've found. Also is Crombie super nice? Passed on an overcoat the other day only because I CANNOT buy any more over coats. :D

I've sold several items to Japan, Australia and Russia over ebay. Never had any problems shipping USPS Express but recommend Priority if the buyer is willing to pay the extra to get the tracking and insurance service.

Approximately 30% of my business is international. The only place I don't ship to is Italy because of their marsupialed customs policies about prohibiting shoes, leather and everything which is sewn. Pretty much everything I sell is prohibited. I ship everything via USPS Priority with delivery confirmation unless otherwise requested. I have had fewer problems with my international buyers than with US buyers, many of them are regular shoppers in my store.

Thanks Merc and Wes ! SO USPS Priority is the way to go and no Italy. Cool.

Looks to me like it's Corneliani. I don't know whether they do bespoke or how often they would, but it's possible that it was custom made and therefore no label.
Also, what's the story on the hat? I like it!

It's definitely Corneliani. Nice find! :slayer:

Edit: A bit late to the party - what they all said!!!!

Crombie is nice (not super nice, but nice) and there is a decent market for their overcoats (probably moreso than the other stuff they make). IIRC, the company went through a lower-quality era in the 90's/early 2000's, but their stuff seems to be currently quite well made.

If you are thinking of moving that suit, I would be interested pending measurements.

As a quick example on pricing comparisons.

I am in the middle of a transaction with a regular located in Indonesia. I always use USPS Priority to ship cameras to him. This time he has requested faster delivery service, and asked me to quote him UPS and FEDEX prices well.

For 21 Cameras in (2) 20 lb boxes, these are the rates I found.

UPS $800-900 (2-3 Day)
FEDEX $700-$800 (2-3 Day)
USPS GXG $450 (2-3 Day)
USPS Express $260 (3-5 Day)
USPS Priority $200 (6-10 Days)

He backed off and chose the Priority as usual, can't say I blame him.

All Polaroids too. I sell him the ones I find, but also proxy others from ebay sellers who do not ship internationally. It only takes a little of my time, I get the ebay bucks, good feedback and he even sends me extra $$ as a tip.

I don;t know how, but he sells them for crazy money $100-500 each. It doesn't make any sense.
Check out his site, I was blown away by the prices he gets
http://www.tokopolaroid.com/

FYI on his prices, $1 = about 10,000 rp (Indonesian Rupiah)

So i think that the thrifting gods were on my side today! I snuck away from work for a cheeky shop and i found the best thing that i've ever thrifted.
Quite possibly also the nicest thing I own.

An ultra soft Recent Blue Double Breasted Caruso overcoat for $14.
Lora Piana Fabric, in my size condition about a 9/10
Natural shoulders, working cuffs, perfect for this time of year going into winter.

This looks very nice. Surprised it's gone largely unnoticed. I would love to see some more pics if you have any.

This wasn't a thrift find, but I thought I'd share because it doesn't fit me. It's 100% wool and in pristine condition, the tag says it's a 40R, but I'll need to get exact measurements. I'm fairly certain it's a Corneliani label for PRL (made in Italy).
