First chance in a while to get out. Not bad for a 5 minute stop........

Zegna green w/ blue windowpane SC, and a Brioni 70/30 wool silk blazer. Both very recent, both 46L. Two pair of Linen Zanellas ~40 and a couple of multi stripe seersucker pants. One is by Coat, which I am not familiar with. Tag looks a bit like Vestimenta. The other is Bullock & Jones made in Italy.

I left behind a pair of RLPL White linen pants with a bit of discoloration on the back pocket, as well as two recent Zegna suits, one 48R the other 46L. Also some crazy tomato red Zanellas. The suits were in the $40 range. Might still go get them. They were recent enough for a fairly easy $100-125 flip.

I sold Ace_Face the Mountain & Sackett tie I purchased yesterday. Everything has been really smooth thus far so I highly recommend buys/trades with him.

Tie came today and was very pleased. Thanks again, matty. Also received in the mail today two grenadine ties from Paul Winston. Tipped off by Put This On, I ordered a navy and a green. Both are garza fina and run $47.50 apiece. Highly recommended if you are looking for affordable grenadines.

Did one of you say you used to deal in typewriters? I found a 50s Remington Quiet Riter in great shape complete with box and key. I think they wanted $24 for it. Should I go back and pick it up (the completed ebay listings come in at $10-$80)? Hope it's still there next week, when it would be half price?

Yep...me. I would leave it until half price. Be carefull with shipping. The larger models like this obviously are very heavy and like to arrive damaged. Also the box to ship it will be larger than you think, so account for that in your shipping cost.

If its the dull brown or gray color, you should probably leave it behind. Retro colors do best.

Got a question for anyone who knows: is there an accurate and reliable way of telling if a tie is real ancient madder just by sight or by feel? I've seen some pics of some ancient madder ones and I have a few I suspect that might be (they've got the darker paisley design typical of ancient madder), but I just don't know how to verify, or even how to tell the difference. Thanks.

I'll leave you with this thought. It is heavily rumored that Nintendo based the Falcon Punch on Bruce Springsteen's ability to annihilate haters. Been warned.

Now back to the regularly scheduled thrifting program. DM7, take us home.

Did I mess up by not grabbing these?...Resident art expert?

Don't know about the others, but the original of that Renouf (Boat painting) sold at auction in 1988 for about $150,000.
