i think these are serious SERIOUS money and I may step up at the auction,i personaly think these will go for $10K (all three) but if they are worth it why not.
anyway the pics...

I know just enough about pocket watches to be dangerous, ha!

But something added to the value that wasn't there a couple years ago is the insane price of gold. A few years ago, solid (i.e. not gold fill) cases might add a hundred or two to the overall value, but now if those are truly solid, not fill, it greatly enhances the price.

Hey guys, would love some help figuring out what the hell these are, as I can't find anything quite like them by Ferragamo on the interwebz.  And while they *look* like suede, they have more of a...plasticy consistency when I compare them to my other suede shoes.  Are they driving slippers/moccasins?  Did I get hosed?  Are these not legit? They just seem so...odd to me.  A google search with that number string doesn't net anything.  Anyone with knowledge about this kind of stuff, feel free to chime in.

The best chance of tracking them down might be here: http://www.shoearchives.com/Ferragamo Pages/salvatoreferragamoarchivePG1.htm. I used this to figure out what a seemingly rare pair of boots were. Took a while; mine were on page 23, but the system worked.

This is my first post on style forum!! I'm in college and have been doing this whole thrift store thing for about a month to make a few extra bucks. Here are today's finds a Robert Graham , and a NWT Bugatchi Uomo Shirt both for $5.99. Also what are some good items that sell best on ebay?

Nice find the the RG....$$$ on ebay. Bugatchi not so much. Also go to page one, and read about the first 8,000 posts ...then you will know what sells on ebay.

These sell well on ebay.

Had a good run compared to my first month or so of thrifting. Found my first suits/SCs of any note, too. Baby steps!

(Sorry for poor mobile pictures. No sizes due to Britishness).

Canali DB Suit, peak lapels

Paul Smith 'Westbourne' suit. Maybe not SF-friendly, but I do rather like the funky details and slightly iridescent MoP buttons. Picture makes it look very purple, actually a pale grey (w/ purple lining).

Ede & Ravenscroft Suit

Crombie Blazer, Wool & Cashmere, rather thick material and attractive lining. It was the thickness which made me believe it wasn't an orphan. Correct?

Crombie Blazer for me. First decently fitting 36S blazer I've found

. Pity about some damage/repair to the edge at the front, but should be fine for the type of countryside activities it looks designed for.

RLPL wool trousers. My size.
biggrin.gif
(At 28" waist, only just...).

Unfortunately, also a 28" inside leg. I've put some mini thrift fits below. A minus-break really is too short, right? So can I let down the turn-ups myself? Or is a novice such as I liable to mess something up?

(I do realise that white socks are not at all apropos. This is for your eyes only.)

Finally, a couple of items I left behind but was intrigued by...

Linen shirt, with no name whatsoever. The thing that interested my was the wooden buttons. Probably high street tat, but maybe someone else can ID?

Well constructed and hefty tie (left due to garishness), 'Lavorazione Artigianale'. A quick search suggests that this is Ferragamo, but why not label it as such if so?
