Here's that Hermes Jacket. It's for sale if anyone is interested or I'll list it on ebay tomorrow.

It's a 3 button, Navy Hermes Blazer. It's fully lined, has double rear vents and nice pick stitching. There is also a ticket pocket and surgeons cuffs. Horn buttons and super 100's wool.
Measurements are 20.25 from shoulder seam to shoulder seam, 32 from bottom of the collar to bottom of the jacket and 26.5 on the sleeves.

I took a close up of the hole on the sleeve. It is quite small and because almost all the fabric is still there, it should be easy to fix. I went over the jacket with a fine tooth comb. I found one more hole on the back of the right sleeve. It's smaller than the first one. It wouldn't show up in a pic. And the top button has a small scrape on it. These aren't major problems, very small in fact, but I want to be as honest as possible.
If any one is iterated in making me an offer or has any questions, shoot me a PM.
Very cool find man, I have only found Hermes ties, dress shirts. One of these puppies must have been a pretty penny. Wish it fit me. Reguardless with the hole, post that on ebay and watch the bidding war begin. Great find!

+1 get it listed ASAP on ebay (even if you need to go back and add more pictures/info after) if you just want to flip it (and not try and trade it with someone here in the forum). 5 day listing will end it Sunday night around 9pm.(which is what you want). IMO thats one of the few items you can start at 99 cents / no reserve and not worry about. Nice pickup!

Here's some pic's and the measurements of that Brioni shirt 15 x 35 that someone asked me about from yesterday's finds:

  • Shoulders (shoulder seam to shoulder seam across back): 19 ¾ inches.
  • Chest (armpit to armpit across front): 23 ½ inches.
  • Waist (side seam to side seam across front): 22 ½ inches.
  • Sleeve (center of yoke to edge of sleeve cuff): 35 inches.

Perhaps I shouldn't sully this forum with my pedestrian finds. But I will anyway.

I found my first big-boy ties today. Nothing crazy at all, but they are my first folds of any kind:

Time for a new avatar?

And indeed, what size so we can all watch out for quality black polos for you.

Uh, I'm not saying, but, well, which side of the fly is the button on?

Zowie! They are sometimes called drop loops. Found most often these days on Oxxford trou. Nice grab. Do they look like custom or are they tagged like otr?

I'm going with this after the 17th.

Thanks guys. I go back tomorrow and will have my first opportunity to get into the specifics so I'm holding off on making any move until I know more about the policy. It just kills me that I have purged all things black from my wardrobe and suddenly, it becomes the primary color that I need.

Much appreciated.

I can imagine the AAAC Trad crowd coming to fisticuffs over that.

This was the only tag:

I left behind a pair of Burberry London khakis -- a very recent tag -- and large (probably 11.5 or so) black Bootmaster Tom Mcan wingtips that were in great shape (v cleat replaced with rubber heel, though). This was all from the same GW where I picked up those St Andrews trousers the other day, so perhaps I should go back again tomorrow.

This is my first post on SF, and let me preface this by saying that I have read the majority of this thread. The information that I have accumulated has been invaluable. I have began to thrift pretty regularly over the last month and a 1/2 and have now completely filled my wardrobe. This post includes the highlights from my early attempts at thrifting. If anyone is interested in anything, let me know. A couple of things are already sold on eBay. Maybe I'll throw up some pics later if I can figure it out

Suits:
3 Armani Collezioni Two Button Suits 40R
Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni DB Suit 40R
HF Houndstooth Boardroom Suit
HF Tux 40R
Canali Proposta 3 Button Suit 52EU

Sports Coats:
HF Navy Blazer 44R
Geives & Hawkes Houndstooth Wool Sports Coat 46L

Shirts:

MTM Holland & Sherry Dress Shirt
Aster Italy FC Dress Shirt?
4 Zegna Button Downs
A couple Gitman Button Downs
3 Robert Grahams that went straight to the Bay

Zegna Size 42 Tux Shirt

Pants:
Sold a few pairs, but I've only ended up keeping a pair of Incotex Inco Chinos

Ties:
Pink Striped Charvet
Orange Striped Canali
Solid Navy Stefano Ricci
Turnbull & Asser Geometric
Giorgio Armani

Shoes:
Pretty much new Brooks Brothers White Bucks
