Anyone know if this is a seven fold?

The first was a tweed three-piece by a French label I had never heard of. The vest and jacket fit me, but after finding the pants they were quite too short.

Some 3 piece tweed suits (did it have a fabric manufacturer label?) go for crazy money on ebay...like $100's and $100's and $100's

Interested in deets on this. I have a small collection of S/S plaid shirts from the early-mid 60's. Mostly dept. store labels (Wards, Penny's, Sears), but this is back when they made their stuff to last.

Are you sure it isn't a men's? Looks like it's buttoned the wrong way (only two button-holes). Much more of a find if it's a men's!

Two stores today. First one was a bust. Second one I found these two Gucci shirts in just about perfect condition. Both 39/15.5.

Hence why it was amiss. I had tucked them in in the photo. Also, I felt as if it were canvassed at least in the back, but I could be wrong.

It does look like a womens to me (what do I know..) as there are two buttons going in the womens direction, I thought there would only be one if it was suppose to be the "under" buttoned part. Pretty sure there would be a 3rd below it just cut off the picture? If it ends up being a mens, what size is it, does that say xs??

Ah ok, I couldn't tell!

Canali checked jacket; custom-made plaid jacket in a subdued yet still very plaid blue Vitale Barberis Canonico Super 120s; slacks by the same tailor, about which I can't find any info (logo looks like a J and K in a handwritten signature, like JK if the parallel parts were laid on top of each other); gray flannels made in the USA for some shop in a rich part of town; all my size. Plus a Robert Talbott tie in a medallion pattern I like. (Anyone know anything about Talbott ties that are like a patchwork of different tie fabrics? Worth it?) The two jackets fit me like a glove, right off the hanger. Score.

Size 9.5 Cole Haan tassel loafers that look an awful lot like the ones two pages or so ago; Ermenegildo Zegna flat-front chinos in a dark khaki color, about a size 38. These need homes. If no one wants 'em, I'll try my fortunes on eBay

Thanks man. My mannequin for my auctions is also well knotted. (both shirt and tie are Charvet)

^Try to use a wider ( or tie short) and more substantial tie. A Windsor or half Windsor may look better on the mannequin. Spoo's shirt collar style is of course good, make sure to use metal collar stays so you can shape them the way you want.

Definitely, and Bvlgari ties are pretty insane. The silk is like sandpaper and it weighs about a pound, right?

BTW, I stopped into a Marshalls today and saw a whole bunch of Ferragamo ties for (a ridiculous) $99.99. Also a whole rack full of Brooks Brothers tweeds for $249 each. Really, really nice ones though.

How often do you guys run into obvious flippers going through the menswear? I'm only recently encountering this for the first time. I keep seeing a lady going through the menswear at my favorite stores, checking every single label and dumping anything with the right label into her cart.

My first thought was "Well, I guess the party's over." And I have had fewer great finds recently. But my more optimistic side says there's plenty to go around, and I'll still find some good stuff.

Watch what car shes getting into and next time let air out of a tire...she will get the hint (I'm totally kidding). Say hi, and just ask her to hold the stuff that's your size for you (or trade for it) and if shes really cute give her your number to call when she finds stuff your size. She probably goes to other stores also so you might be able to team up and trade for more stuff in your size! Just think of it as a positive if you are looking to expand your wardrobe and not just make $$$.

The same way you would sell anything else....

1. Make sure it is clean(ish)
2. Take good pictures
3. Take measurements
4. List it on SF B&S
5. List it on AAAC B&S
6. List it on Ebay
