epic finds coming

:lurk:

I'll have to double check. I couldn't feel it in the lapel pinch test, yesterday. The wimminez wuz getting antsy so I grabbed it and ran.

Maybe I'm saying something that's already known, but I've read that you can also tell whether the suit is at least partially canvassed by looking for stitching behind the lapels.

Phoenix/Scottsdale area has a lot of $$$. You might just want to figure out which stores are biggest and hope the larger volume works to your advantage.

Go to http://www.goodwillaz.org/locator/85020 , stores C G J are right next to Paradise Valley and North Scottsdale, highest dollar area in AZ, Paradise Valley is the top in AZ. I'm mostly over in the east valley.

+1. When Mainy says epic, I can only imagine what's coming.

Went to the J store above on Sat, never been there. Better labels than I see in east valley where I'm at. First Southwick (damaged) Aquascutum (Moths) There are three stores within a couple miles, didn't have time to go to all three. Picked up a real nice vintage Harris Tweed, fully lined, no maker label in excellent shape. Just what I was looking for, but too small! 40R but slimmer (PTP 21, Slv 25+1.5, Shld 17½, Length 30, it says "light weight", but it is substantial (available)

Here's a question: Are these just pants, or are they part of a suit? I left them behind because I assumed they were part of a suit, but I'm fairly certain they're not.

Too big for me, but I would have picked them up except that I loathe standing in lines.

I also saw a gray three-button Canali in a 52 R, but I'm a bit trigger shy, as the last few things I got that I thought would move didn't, so it is not in my possession.

I'm no expert, but I guess I'd assume it was part of a suit since it has a drop number that corresponds to a jacket (I'm assuming the pants are 40 waist, not 48 waist, right?).

the only reason I didn't think they were part of the suit is because these heavy wool pants would have been, um, a bit much as a full suit. I can't imagine anyone walking around in something like that (I should have snapped a pic of the pants in their full glory).

Well did the pants look like they were a 48" waist?

^ I have several Corneliani made Polo pants that were never part of a suit that have a drop size marked.

Thrifting wasn't exciting the past few days, nothing my size, all available:

Chest: 21.5”
Sleeves: 25”
Shoulders: 19”
Length: 32”

Lorenzini shirt, monogrammed:

Real nice, thick MOP buttons. Barrel cuffs, button down collar. Custom order:

If no one has these initials, I'll just recycle the buttons. They are very nice.

Neck: 16.5”
Chest: 23”
Sleeves: 25”
Shoulders: 19.5”
Length: 35”

And since this thread also a discount store brag, I made a new connection to Brooks Brothers, picked up a few Black Fleece shirts for myself, and this BNWOT custom order BBGF suit and sport coat which will be available on B&S soon:

My guess would be those are pants. Most of the suit pants that I've seen don't tend to put a brand label in them
