I took a spill on an icy sidewalk one day, and that was the end of the v-cleat for me. First thing I do when I find a pair of long wings is replace those heels.
I bought a pair of shoes from the bay and I put one on to see how the fit was. Walked onto my hardwood floors with one shoe on and on my first step I slip and my shoeless foot slams against a corner completely destroying my nail on my big toe.

Needless to say, I now put on both shoes to determine fit.

Ditto. Love the look of vintage longwings, but I'd much rather spend the $20 on a reheel than take a spill. Not real clear on the appeal of the v-cleat...

Well, it does make the heel rather indestructible, and it sounds cool tapping on the floor. But yeah, I'm with ya. Get a vibram heel on those suckers.

OMFG :worship2:
I've been on the lookout for a leather bomber jacket like this for ages. Nice!

Ok, whats better than a heated car seat in a state with -20 temps in the winter? An Irvin RAF jacket. Better still? A 20 dollar Irvin RAF jacket.

Holy ******* ****!!!!! :bounce2: This is one of the coolest things ever posted on this thread IMHO. I've been looking for something like this since before I started thrifting. :worship:

^^ Great deal. For what it's worth, I wear a large normally and have an XL Cucinelli that fits me (though I did have the sides and sleeves taken in). That XXL might work for an XL.

Bottom line, I would not pay more than thrift prices for JM's as a general rule. There are a lot of them out there.

The newer made in USA and Italy models are perfectly serviceable, especially if you are buying for yourself and they fit well. I tend to consider them filler shoes until something better comes along.

Gentlemen, thank you. Always great information on this thread... along with a great spirit of sharing.

Those are freaking awesome. I await the day when I get a single button peak lapel. Impossible to find RLBL suits (even at higher prices) my size. Wear those till the arms fall off :)

Sew them back on and continue to wear them!

Stumbled upon two RLBL suits, need to let out the hip area by a 1/2 an inch or so and the waist. Hope these are the real deal so I can tailor & dry clean them to use as beaters. Anyone know if these are legit? Made a thread with more photos here.
just so we're on the same page. in one 24-hour period, you found that LP unstructured jacket AND this pair of RLBL suits?

Any hints where I could get my hands on a pair of C&J Audleys below 435GBP/520Euro?

Whyred leather jacket

Beretta safari jacket

Semi-ugly Asolo hiking boots, but good for going to the store in when it's wet/snowy outside i guess

Some bags, bottom one from The Bridge

And my most expensive purchase from a "normal" thriftstore, from the swedish SA. It cost like 95$, but i really wanted it...Thrift prices in sweden are very high though, a burberry trench usually go for between 150-200$, sometimes more
