I bought four BB4s today for 67 each, I am a 16 or 16.5/34, they fit like a dream. The BB3s are tight across the chest, fyi and they shrink a little.

I think you should stick with BB3,I went for BB4 initially but had to exchange it for BB3 as it was too baggy for me,both in the neck and waist. But you may find BB3 sleeves short for you

I've been in the market for a blue blazer for a long time, holding out for a nice Zegna or perhaps an Isaia, but haven't come across a steep enough discount as I don't want to pay more than $500 ... perhaps I should just buy one of these BB blazers below? any experience from anyone w/ either the country club blazer or the classic navy blazer below? both are fully canvassed? Minimal shoulder padding?
Maybe I'll get one of these as the beater jacket and still keep my eye out for the discounted Zegna/Isaia.
Do people really think the extra 15% sale will end today or perhaps be extended? Does anyone have any additional promotion codes?

If I were you, I'd splurge and pay the extra $ to get the Golden Fleece blazer. I have it in hopsack, and its a very nice coat, canvassed, with great buttonholes.

+1 on GF. Great stuff, the others: meh, I believe they are half-canvassed, GF is fully canvassed, made by Martin Greenfield of Brooklyn.

What do you guys think of this luggage in bridle leather prob from SAB? Pls help convince me not to buy it. It's so gorgeous but I'm not sure I can hold out for another 3 hrs.

Great looking piece, but I never go for expensive luggage as I always think of it as a perfect target for thieves.

thanks ... right now w/ the discount the GF comes to $631 w/ shipping + taxes, a bit more than I want to spend still, although it looks nice. How does it compare to the entry level Zegna sport coat in terms of quality (which usually retails around 1600 but can sometimes be had on Ebay for less than 500), or the entry level Isaia?

Go with the 4 cuz the sleeves will be too short otherwise.

I believe that the BB cordovan collection is all Alden, is that correct?

In the basket, the cordovan leather wingtip is priced at $465.80.
If these are Aldens, am I likely to find a better deal on them?

Thanks.

Are you looking at the regular cordovan collection or Black Fleece? Most are made by Alden. The BLack Fleece Longwing is on Sale for $400 plus there was an additional 15% off that ended this afternoon. Alden Cord longwings Retail for about $560. I know that Tom Austin Shoes on 43rd and 6th which carries Alden is doing 15% of all Alden which would bring them to $476. Typically you wont find deep discounts on ALden unless major retailers like BB are doing semi annual sales , or a small store is closing down.

They're on the regular, footwear->cordovan section. Where do you see the BF longwing? I only see the English-made paddock boot in the BF collection on the site.

The other thing I noticed is that the BB model has the metal eyelets, while those on other sites do not. Thoughts on this?

Why, sure. In fact I actually made a purchase from RL today and wore the item to dinner earlier this evening.
