Streetwear Style of Seventies Singers

In another thread I posted this picture of Neil Young. "j" identified the boots as Red Wing 877.


The next installment is this photo of James Taylor from his 1971 album "Mud Slide Slim". Chambray work shirt (a bit big, he was a skinny dude), wool pants, and check out the suspenders. Remember he is from North Carolina.

I guess my point is many of these '70's choices are much more timeless than anything in the '80s (or anything by Bowie...or Elvis for that matter). Maybe J. Crew will copy JT's suspenders for their Spring '09 collection.

awesome fit on Garcias geens imo. nick drake cause its weird, next level... and reminds of this socal fit from a while back. elvis costello obviously zeppelin,the stones,the who,but we've all seen those images a billion times.
