What jacket size are you? - Page 3

40R. Can buy a 50e jacket in several of the Italian brands and, except for sleeves, it will require no alteration.

37 L (but since almost all jackets start their Long at 38, I have mostly 38 L), how would you like me to answer?
I already answered this, but alas, I repeat myself: if you are a 41, just poll 42, since you can have the jacket tailored to fit you. Jon.

42R. On RTW, I always have to have the sleeves shortened by a foot (well, it just seems like a foot).

46R. Lots of small guys on the forum, it seems.

40R on the nose. In some American makers, I will wear a 39R though.

I'm another small guy. 39S, depending on maker. With really, really short arms. I've never found a 38 or 40S with sleeves short enough OTR. Alexis, we're all waiting to find out what you voted Tom

40R, 32W.

my chest underarm measures 43inches to be exact. I always buy 44R RTW suits and take in. 42R jackets seem to be tight on lats, and shoulders, but the chest and belly seem to fit better. Do suit coats have enough material so that I can let out .5 - 1 inch on a seem? i.e.) upper back and upper waist seam

44R (6' 2") instead of 44L because I live shorter jackets. 56R in Euro sizes usually.

42 short

Usually a Euro 54L, though in some brands a 54r or 52L fit better.

I looking through my Dad's closet the other day, and I found a Tuxedo that he bought when he was my about age (22). Size 38XL, and the pants were altered down to 28". He was 6'4 and about 135lbs. Anyone here skinnier than that?

Bump to see the correlation with the height poll.
