FWIW: my first - and it was black - harrington was from Stone-Dri* on Market Street, city centre Manchester in 1969.
Subsequently had red and blue ones - but can't remember where they were from.

Country Gent thats a good one Ed,understood.Only thing I like on the second choice is the suede on the inside of the collar.I found several recent Harringtons in awful patterns and colors, didn't post, didn't want to upset the Orig.'s delicate sensibilities. Here is a new one I found. Says Tottenham Skins.

I don't know what to say about this.
Is it 'of the day'.. or some fuqqer with a bad camera from later on?
A conundrum but, our boys from the Capital will know. (FTR: I"m steamin'.)

Edit: Nah, this is later than us lot - IMHO.
The Photo and account come from a site dedicated to the American Ivy League.
I got started in the “Ivy” retail business in 1958 when I joined a company that had one store on the campus at Ohio State called The University Shop. That same year we opened our second store at Ohio University, where I became manager. From ‘58 to ‘71 we would open 23 University Shops at other major campuses, including Purdue, Bowling Green, University of Kentucky, University of Cincinnati, University of Georgia, Auburn, University of Alabama, Tulane, University of Florida, and Clemson.
The clothing formula for our customers was to put them in a Baracuta jacket, Gant shirt, Canterbury belt, Corbin khakis, Adler socks, Bass Weejuns, and St. Johns Bay Rum. Unbeknowst to me, I would one day come to be the owner of the latter.

We have no ownership rights on anything, other than that which was our heritage.
'We' know - and that's all that matters.

Little joke the sensitive bit Ed.Great call bunty.Got another here.Tad suspect, what do yooz think? The pic of the Harrington and quote above was showing from 58' on the Baracuta Harrington was standard Ivy league dress in the US and althought they were made in England they weren't worn there til later.
