A few of my students are wearing shirts like that this year, with the large black & white, blue & white or green & white plaid. Although they're not wearing the braces, cuffed jeans and boots though....yet. smile.gif

I had a black & white one like that sometime around 1984.

I got torn to shreds in the WAYW thread for posting this photo. Just recently let my hair grow out.

Heh..Welcome to StyleForvm, it can be rather like that. I occasionally post 'fits' see what kind of reaction it gets, see who bites. Here's a new word for your dictionary "iGent".

Y'know, I was in a bookshop in Edinburgh yesterday (the place I would like us to launch once we do get the book done), and I saw a copy of 'Chav; the demonising of the Working Class'. I thought to myself - no bugger bothered to write a book in 1969 called 'Skinhead; the demonising of the Working Class'. No, they were too busy having a go.

It's a well-known NI-Protestant saying, and co-incidentally the title of an excellent book by journalist Geoffrey Beattie, published in 1992, about the NI Protestant community, and how accurate or inaccurate the public perception of it was. Bloody excellent bit of reportage, now a mater of social history - I have it on my bookshelf.

Sorry chap. Can't see anything skinhead related at all in that post.

If that pic got ripped to bits on the WAYW thread, why post it on a 'traditional skinhead' thread? When it's not remotely skinhead. Sorry had to ask.
