Sort of 'wet-look', waist-length, red or blue, short collars and zip-fastening, probably nylon(!!!)... thanks for the memory. satisfied.gif
Think Julie Driscoll. smile.gif
I have a spare 10 minutes - which probably means I'll be on for an hour - so I'll search for an image. biggrin.gif
Okay: lose the waistband and cuffs... and the white zip and contrasting pockets, think short-waisted... and I reckon we're nearly there - no?
I could see Little Queenie in one. nod[1].gif

Okay, closer:

http://theswagger.co.uk/2011/08/02/paul-weller-for-pretty-green-biker-jacket/

but shorter - it was for birds - and had two chest pockets with press stud fasteners.

Anyway, I give up. satisfied.gif

I always liked Monkey Boots-where "its Girlie Boots" came from-probably the 2nd lot-was untrue.

Oh I remember.

The two girls I mentioned actually came looking to find me - their pal said I was 'cute'. (Should have gone tae Specsavers...)

But, when they realised how young I was, they weren't interested. (Sad, might have been my first 'threesome'.) biggrin.gif

I ran into one of them when I was around 20 - she'd gone all hippy-chick and was living with some chancer in bed-sit land.

I did like the jackets, though. nod[1].gif

Seconded. I had a pair in early 69. I would not have been too pleased with someone calling them 'girlie' - in fact I never saw a girl in a pair.

Here in the states, they became "girly" because early on you couldn't get docs in small sizes. So girls and young'ns had to wear monkeys.

I like them too and wear them quite a bit these days. But people constantly say they were boots for girls and early skinheads never wore them. Of course i know that isn't the case.nod[1].gif

I think people get confused Harry, they were more popular with girls round my way in the late 70's, a few lads wore them cant recall any big fuss being made of it, other than the odd piss take, bit like i had wearing jnr d'm's
