In 86 I transitioned into the local Trojan scene and we were as sussed as you can get in the States - the Santa Cruz Centurians. Anyway, here's that picture of some of us. I'm in the front in the Crombie.

Sean, as a matter of interest , what shoes are you wearing in the photo?

Yeah your scene was pretty legendary for slickness even out here in the Ancient East. Didn't some of the Utters and Reducers boys come out of that scene?

Right. None of the Utters are in this picture but the guy on the far left making the goofy face is Glen the lead singer of the Reducers. The tall guy behind me leaning to his left is Mike and the bassist for them. This was actually before a Durango 95 show. They were a soul band.

That must have been Danny Boy. He works at Let it Bleed in SF. I keep hearing admiration about the Centurians from people all over the world. The Centurians were the only Trojan skinhead group in California and if you were a trad you were associated with them. I didn't think it went any further than California.

Right. We always related having the plastic bit to be the proper look. Lots of detail in the fashion.

I came across a picture of an old friend and crew mate in the history of the thread. This is Johnny Dilks about 86/87. He was one of the best dressers.
