Was a well known thing for flash londoners to get there clobber taxed off them at matches up north in the late 60s - 70s. In turn they just got a kicking when they came to London as they didnt have anything worth robbing .
Surely the Big E was irrelevant back thenNo mate .. a well dressed Crombie boy was very burlington arcade .. my tuppney worth for the jean jacket debate . Yes they were a out of london thing but Levi was a much much wanted label in the 60s and i guess kids would have worn anything with the red big E label on .. white Levis were popular with the older boys in North Kensington .
Ah the Kilburn mob.So in London Jean Jackets was Scruffy.Yooz guys was tighter.Your from the Big city.Makes sense to me.
Surely the Big E was irrelevant back then
Seen this photo didn't know it was the Kilburn Mob.Are you in the photo?Wasn't the Kilburn Mob in the '95 film"World of Skinhead"being interviewed around a pool table? Some of the Kilburn Mob 1969, about to board a Football special with Chelsea, fairly smart casual,
No that was the Tilbury Trojan Skins If I recall correctly.Seen this photo didn't know it was the Kilburn Mob.Are you in the photo?Wasn't the Kilburn Mob in the '95 film"World of Skinhead"being interviewed around a pool table?

Two completely different subjects. (1) Was there a craze for putting two tone laces, perhaps red/black or yellow/black in your brogues around the same time that Blakeys and segs were being worn? (2) Anyone ever seen or hear of washing up liquid bottles, or Jif lemon containers, filled with ammonia being used by skins at the match? Seem to remember press claims that this was a late 60’s/early 70’s skinhead weapon at football. Sounds horrific, even worse than dart throwing!

Nice to see that famous photo in colour.
No info for this one unfortunately.
Sorry M-o-M, it's impossible to find who owns the copyright for these photos, they've been nicked so many times it's impossible to find out where they originally came from. (I've found some of yours (and mine) on quite a few sites too)
Now then.......
What about Army greatcoats?
Thanks for the info.I remember readin about your Boy Gerry passing.Got it Gramps Tilsbury Trojan Skins.Great photos Bunty.I'am not in the photo, The two lads back either side was good mates of mine, Pat and Gerry RIP, the lad in the middle i think is Noel.
The lad front middle is Eddie, cant remember the names of the two others.
Gerry was a well know face for years at Chelsea, sadly stabbed to death three years ago aged 56..sticking up for someone in a Kilburn Pub. Gerry was a small lad with a lot of balls, he never showed any fear when it came to a fight, a lad you could always rely on.
I have wrote a lot on this thread about the Kilburn Mob yankmod.
Definitely no coloured laces in Manchester, 1969-70.Two completely different subjects.
