Speaking of history, I hereby promise to post only about the 1960s from now on.

I'm thoroughly convinced most western governments didn't really care what Hitler was doing until they realized hey this guy may be a real threat to our power and we can't have that.

It's worth noting that in WW1 the unions acted as recruiting sergeants to the inter-imperialist carve up and the deaths of needless millions of workers. I thought at least this forum wouldn't be full of patriotic and nationalist banality. It is in the interest of all workers not to fight other workers but fraternize, disobey orders, strike etc.

.He was called up the same as thousands of others(they did not really have a choice.Oh! yes there were a lot that did not go(besides C.Os)but that was nothing to do with Politics-more to do with greed(Black Market Spivs etc). They went AWOL and never returned.

Enough of this Politics crap!!

I know it's risky business to post a picture now, as everything was already posted...

But well i give it a try, as i don't remember this one. Dated 1969, with no other infos.

Looks like these girls took their boyfriends clothes !

Random memories:

Early 1968, Blackpool. Levi jackets in order of coolness: Denim - cool; needlecord in stone/wheat colour - cooler; tan suede - seriously cool; leather - coolest. Wearing a Levi leather jacket did bring one hazard though - it was an affront to greasers that a mod should be wearing leather, and there were instances when they would jump someone in a Levi leather and take it off him. The only person I saw consistently in a Levi leather was Dave Lee, who was tough, broad-shouldered, and could fight like hell. We were on nodding terms, but he was a bloke you didn't cross. His brother Mick was the resident DJ at the Mecca, a really friendly bloke.

1969, Catford. I remember the first bloke I saw in our general crowd to wear a Harrington. He was a cocky, red-haired kid who thought he was jack-the-lad.

1970. The same bloke was one of the first of our general crowd to drop the skinhead look. I can remember him and his mate turning up somewhere, and him saying "Reggae is rubbish. It's all the same - heavy on the second beat!" I wondered why the hell he had bothered to turn up if all he wanted to do was sneer. I guess it was he just wanted to be 'one-up'. I can remember saying back something like, "You can't just say one particular type of music is rubbish. If it's a good record it's a good record, if it isn't it isn't, no matter what type of music."

Its funny,a Girlfriend at that time did borrow my Shirts,to wear out.She liked them because they were baggier
Good Photos Clouseau.

Its funny, you always had the ones that stuck their noses-saying something is rubbish-and yet they were with you 2 months earlier in the same Record Shop/Clothes Shop.Vocal "One Upmanship" was very rife in say `70(the year of change). smile.gif

I want a skinhead gf

Forces TV has started on cable and Freeview. A bit off topic I know. There are a lot of shaven-headed lads and lasses with impeccably-shiny boots featured though.

I'm not even slightly militaristic. But I do appreatiate the job these people do.

Be careful what you wish for fella.

I once wished for a bird with long legs with a tight pussy.

I got a Stork with a tabby-cat accountant.

Being serious though. I've always preferred long, messy hair up-top, and shaved down-below. Not the other way round.

Oh Christ that was great! And I agree fully. I dig feminine chicks, and a few skinhead girls here a d there got it down. Others, the majority, well... As the saying goes, "the hair goes, the arse grows".
