loampiavreter, great find. The 68 photo especially cool(color). I've had a question rollin round my brain for some time.I've noticed what seems to be an anomaly.I suspect Lasttye is the one to answer as he knows the folks involved. In "Man Alive what's the truth about skinheads"(we've all seen it)Steve Thompson figures prominantly. He's in the youth club playin pinball.Later we see him leaving work with his fellow skin. Then in the barbers chair. And he is interviewed in his front room with his folks. We also see Steve in alot of photos as well.He is in the photo of Danny Eccles and his mob in the street under a Chelsea banner.Lasttye has said Danny and his crew was from Tottenham (NW London right?)And yet Steve Thompson when he's in his front room says he's from the East End.How is it that a skin from the East End ends up in a NW crew? Anyone got any answers?

Just to correct you Yankmod Danny Artkins was not from Tottenham, He is a Fulham Lad, West London
Whats got to remembered a lot of that old footage has been mucked about with over the lass 44 years, Also lads did have mates from other areas...often due to meeting at work.
For all the reputation for violence, Skinheads liked to make mates from other areas, the idea was that you could travel in their area without a problem, if you was pulled you could drop a name, also alliances.. the more mates you had the more blokes you could pull into a mob.

Shit, but true, Roy. Old age and beer gets many of us in the end
Don't know whether this autobiographical cartoon strip has ever been mentioned here:

I haven't seen it mentioned, but the cartoon artwork is good.
