That photo is recent... Maybe 2-3 years ago, don't think the fella is still into this scene though. Could be wrong about it.

I did see one or two guys 'back in the day' who wore loafers with sta-prest, but I agree this is a revival pic.

Do we get a Prize?

Id Say 1996 - 1997 again, it would depend on location too.

I agree. Mid-1990s hotel decor. All that pine and floral stuff. B&Q moulded doors, laminate flooring. Arrgh!

I'm going to say it's late mod era (check out the girl in the leather coat) and it's up North (which, as we all know now, means 'anywhere outside London' biggrin.gif ). The shirt/tie/crew-neck/denim jacket combo is a give-away.

It also reminds me strangely of the time in Blackpool when I gad a girlfriend, briefly, who was taller than I was...

2. Urban Couture £20.95
3. Warrior Classic £24.45
4. GS Apparel Classic £18
5. Location Goliath £17
6. Cissbury Classic £24.45
7. French Connection £43.85
8. Brave Soul 'Reactive' £29.95
9. Ben Sherman £57
10. Ben Sherman London £54.

and not a Baracutta in sight!

Must admit some of these I've never heard of, some bargains I reckon - I checked out the Relco one on Amazon and got to say it looks pretty damned good.

How could you they miss out Combat?: http://www.bennevisclothing.com/epages/BT3129.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/BT3129/Categories

Presumably Baracuta (average price, except in their numerous 'sales', circa £165) aren't included because they aren't in business right now, or they failed to pay the Mail for the publicity. (As, presumably, did Fred Perry, Merc, JtG, Grenfell and numerous others.)

Technical question. Because I'm new to the forum, my posts are vetted before publication. It takes about 24 hours for this to happen usually -- although some [like this one] are published immediately. How long or how many posts are required before the 'moderation' stops?

Just had a look at one other 'forum', 'section' or whatever-you-call-it in the 'Streetwear and Denim' subdivision (or whatever-you-call-it) here. My God, what a load of odd 'king people who appear to have lost contact with reality.

Reality is an illusion brought on by lack of alcohol.
