Sorry about the deleted posts - a cock-up at MixCloud, my fault!

Okay, new podcast. This is Kate's penultimate session in the STAR studio at St Andrews, and she has taken the opportunity to play a few tracks she wanted to play during the year but didn't get around to them. Actually, even though there's only one track from "our era," I really loved the music in this session. Betty Davis and Cymande were totally funky; Stevie Wonder's most introspective track ever - They Won't Go When I Go (from his 1974 album Fulfillingness' First Finale) - continues to grow on me with its overtones of Bach and Brahms (chatting to Kate about this, she told me I was getting deep into the musicology for once!); Frank Ocean's version of Henry Mancini & Johnny Mercer's Moon River... well you can't go wrong with that songwriting combination... the version has some strange vocal treatment at the beginning but settles down wonderfully; and at last she plays some Milton Nascimento. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Next week I'll be guesting in the studio and we're hoping to run for two hours. I've requested some 1960s stuff.
