I've seen various pics of the Glasgow Spy Kids (apart from cover of Spirit of 69 which has Big Ian and Wee Iain)....i remember a shot that has a bunch of them hanging out on the street and one of the guys has parallels on that are super wide. But aside from those few I dont really know of any other Spy Kids pics.

here's a pic from the Ellie Head, with some of the Camden skins

i picked these up at a thrift store earlier in the year for around 10 bucks. theyre ansi steel toe and heal heal. marked 1979 i believe theyre some sort of navy flight deck boot. not the traditional dr marten style boot but i like them none the less. i just walked home in 6 inches of snow hence the filth.

Bit of a 'Boot boy' look going on with the Spy Kids there!

Yeah, I've seen that pic before I think it was before or after a Scotland match. A fella I know, probably one of the sharpest suedehead dressers around, was wearing parallels w/1-inch turnups (not bootcuts/flares mind

) back in the early '90s

There are some cool pics on this club site 'Set the Tone '67'. Good club as well, I'm sure you've been on one of your visits, GS.

^^ I've wanted to go to Set the Tone, have never been in town for it tho. I know they were having some problems with someone contacting the old bill and saying that the club was a gathering of racist skinheads and they werent able to hold the club a couple times....!!! I think it turned out to be some ex-DJ who was trying to start **** and close it down.

there's also Live Injection and Up the Junction which I know happen regularly (i think UtJ is every 3rd sat?)

And I still have to check out '86! TIS '90 might not be terrible. I'm not sure what the group sentiment is here, but I always enjoy hearing some Stone Roses.

Ew, 1990 was such a bland year music-wise. Still, I do like the concept. Still have to see the '86 series, but this idea is reminding me of the 7-Up films.

That's what I figured it would be if they did do TIE 90. I remember a picture at the end of Gavin Watson's latest, "Skins and Punks," that showed the crew the morning after going to a rave in 89/90 and how he personally uses that morning as the bookend of their "skinhead experience". Everything changed after that.

I'll definitely check it out, though. I actually like those characters.

yea I feel the same way. I was pleasantly surprised how hot Trev look in '86 with her red shorter cut, much better than that huge blond feathercut she had in the original!

as far as the music, I dont mind some of that manchester stuff, like the first Stone Roses was good, but 90 was an odd transition time for music and scenes

another interesting video about skinheads and the author of the 1970s pulp fiction novels (Skinhead, Skinhead returns, Suedeheads, Sorts, etc)...Richard Allen

Dude, that killed me. I am not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that Trev looked exactly like one of my ex-girlfriends in the original movie. I sent her a few screen caps and it freaked her out, too. We just put it down to a fluke.

Then TIE86 comes and Trev looked exactly like the same ex a year or so after we broke up.

Even my wife, who has never seen pics of my ex from "back in the day" (but knows what she looks like now) commented on it when we watched the original.

Do you like Evil Conduct band? I think it's one of the last Oi! bands which follows traditional skinhead look.
