If it is 45% off I'm kinda pissed I'm going to miss it... having said that, it probably saved me a fortune.

You've got me doubting myself now.
Again, I could be wrong, but I don't believe that the discount means that 30% is subtracted and then another 15% is subtracted from that subtotal (ie 30% off $100 = $70, less 15% of $70 = $59.50). Instead, I believe that the discount is applied as 30% + 15% = 45% which would then, taking the above example, bring a $100 item down to $55.

I guess that I'll find out tomorrow whether I'm right or not...

Checked out Philippe Perzi today and met whom I assume is Philippes father, Johann... really nice guy. He was quite taken with the suit I was wearing (grey PoW check from Herringbone).

I was tire kicking so didn't waste too much of his time. The RTW shirts look very nice and I'll definitely being giving him my patronage in the future (service goes a long way with me).

If you are in Melbourne there is a guy who has opened a High & Mighty type shop (hes not part of a chain) just off Whitehorse Road Balwyn. I think he starts with his lower sizes at 36. From a quick squiz I had one day its not all big and baggy,stuff looked more than ok, and hes a nice guy. Don't feel bad about Myer - they are simply dreadful for mens clothes these days no matter what size - a shameful thing for Melbourne considering their past reputation. I assume you are referring to 4" cuffs hovering an inch above the shoes. As of yet there are no laws banning them in any state at all although I do believe one should be introduced.

Out of interest, what would I expect to pay (full price) for a Herringbone suit? The website is quite unhelpful in this regard.

Between $1,195 and $1,295 usually I believe. I just bought one last week for the former (but got my GST back when I flew out), but I recall seeing another style which was a tad more expensive.

I'm not sure if you have to be 'signed up' as a VIP, but this doesn't cost anything and I'm sure the majority of members here are in HB's target market, so if the carrot of 15% off encourages some more stylish Aussie gents to get along and get into the product, it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned.

It does appear the whole of Sydney is on sale. Country road is 40% off almost everything. This is probably leading up to a cracker of a stock stake sale. For people who visit the Herringbone clearance centre, myself included, let's not be shy about posting when they get new stock in. Herringbone usually go 30% off for Stocktake, which is a great saving. And as pointed out before by Mr Cash the suits are complimented everywhere. And I can confirm that Look Smart in the Dymocks building do a great job on alterations. Great for people who are unsure what they want tailored, they took me through a few options. Including showing me what Ethan would do! Went to work with pins a few times and let me see what it would look like!
