I would recommend places along the lines of sleep city - they have a mattress that is wired up for analysis purposes so it gives you an indication of what type of mattress you need. beds are something you should not skimp on, considering you spend 1/3 of your life sleeping. if you're like me and you have sleep apnoea then you'd know the quality of your sleep greatly affects your performance during the day. I'd recommend buying the best mattress you can get. I've been in your shoes before where I was looking for a queen mattress with a budget similar to yours. about 2 years ago I invested in a technogel mattress with a couple of technogel pillows - they have a thin layer of gel which keeps your body cool during the night, good for people who perspire a lot when they sleep. the mattress is medium - firm. from recollection it cost me a bit less than $5,000 but it was the best coin I've spent. keep in mind, mattresses, if properly maintained I.e. rotated and used with a mattress protector, will last you about 10 years. my partner also enjoys the mattress - she tells me she gets the deepest sleep in it whenever she stays over. just my 2c.

They are currently holding a sale on their stock of Loake and AS shoes, with the shoes being discounted by 40%, down to $330.

They've got two models of AS shoes - the Hunt brogue wingtip in brown or black from the "Exclusive" range and the Milton wholecut (I think) in brown or black from the "Handgrade" range.

For $330, both of them are very good deals and a friend of mine who bought a pair of the Hunt brogue wingtips today got a pair of lasted shoe trees for them, too, which makes the deal even better.

Wow AS?  Are there even any other retailers in Aus that stock AS?

Did you happen to see how much the Loake 1880 cost?

Looks like they're almost ready to go online with the product (or have stopped selling online, either or)

hmmm you might struggle at $250, particularly with the shitty AUD at the moment.  Its like theres shoes out there that you shouldn't pay over $100 for (and often dont charge that much, so thats OK) and then a huge gap of decent shoes until you get over $3-400)

What's your size? (note my signature ;))

I was going to say hello to him, but people were pressing me from behind so I moved on.

I'm more partial to the Onitsukas.
Plus I like to believe Elon Musk is the head of some evil organisation like hydra, or Specter or Kaos.
