I've become kind of obsessed with the coat worn in this picture:
Any ideas on where to obtain something like this? I was thinking about asking Patrick Johnson the next time I'm in if he can do something along these lines; basically a long single breasted jacket with a bit of extra room. I remember seeing Patrick wearing something similar in green, but it doesn't seem to have beeen pictured on their tumblr.

Surely that's a mac (i.e. treated cotton) and not a (wool) car coat.

Nice watch! Try requesting that the springbar "tunnel" be moved down from the edge of the strap to ~2mm in, and make sure the strap thickness at the lug is about 4.5mm - that way one end of the strap cantilevers against the underside of the partly-hooded lug attachment and you get the same effect as the OEM strap.Grande Ultra Thin Edizione Speciale Italica Limited 150 pieces

BTW there are some interesting deals at Myer and DJ's at the moment. Myer has Ralph Lauren Polo Bradford suits for $650 and some Black Label Anthony suits for $800. Some nice Polo sports jackets as well.
DJ's has Canali at prices I've rarely seen. Suits from $1000 - $1200. Kei jackets are unfortunately not as heavily discounted.

Agreed. My DJ's sale purchase yesterday was a double breasted three quarter length wool cashmere Hardy Amies coat, $370 down from $700. Highly recommend, and there's still quite a few left at Sydney DJs.

Yes, I think it's some kind of cotton, but I'm not sure it's a mac, it drapes too nicely. I believe this is another view of the same coat:
It looks lined and probably tailored. I will go and check out TM Lewin though; it's only up the road on King St, but given my slight fram (34'' chest) I don't like my chances off the rack.
