i moved to canberra 6 months ago from adelaide for work, are there any interesting "menswear" stores (or others) that i might not know about? i'm on a grad salary, but i'm a little surprised there aren't any obvious ones considering the huge APS workforce and higher than average income.

Does anyone have any experience with RM Williams' screwed sole? I'm going to pick up a pair of black Macquaries, and I want them to be sleek so I think the normal welted sole may be a bit too dominant

The SF RMW 'Forum Special' has a screwed sole as I remember - you might be able to get some guidance as to how sleek the screwed sole is by searching for that.

I have a pair of forum specials.

Dangerously sleek. Very easy to scuff. If anything the online photo under-emphasize the results.

I wear them a bit but I'm not 100% sure I like the results -- They are fussy and somewhat fragile and generally Un-RMW like that configuration.

The sole itself has lasted a surprisingly long time, although I'd imagine you'd have to send it back to get it replaced or Topy.
