Good shoe. Look pretty classic too.

Got a pair of Lavers a couple of weeks ago. They are great, and super comfortable to boot.

While the appeal of a dictatorship is there it would never work in our house, too much exposure to democratic principals at an early age!

Democracy is the parents outvoting the son 2 to 1. Unless, just like the old USSR at the UN security council, he has veto powers. If WW3 is to be avoided, an option is a proxy war in Afghanistan... pay one of his mates to chop it off as a prank while he's passed out drunk at some party, when they're already shaving off one of his eyebrows.

Many thanks Tone, this has worked a treat. Already use Firefox so this has been very straightforward. I understand the need for SF to have advertising but it has been quite frustrating!

Looks like they are 'Florsheim Wickham lace up" from the Myer website.

@$60 I reckon they're awesome!

Pity they look to be back at $159 on the site now!

Went down to the Tyabb antiques warehouse today. I saw two pairs of wooden Bally shoe trees for $25 each. They were made in England, by a company called Dunkelman. They were size 11, so I left them; I thought they might be too big for my 10.5s. Style was a single front piece and a dual rail to the heel piece, IIRC. Does someone want them?

Size 11 would be right up my alley...

I wouldn't be able to get down there again before next Sat, so there'll be a chance they're gone. If you want to go down yourself I could describe where to find them, but it's a maze in there.
