I am going to be in town over the weekend and plan on going around to various establishments to try on shoes before I make a purchase a bit further down the track.
Can anyone tell me if there is anyone who stocks Carmina's at all. I pretty much know where to go to find most everything I want to check out except for Carmina's.
No Carminas in Sydney but Herringbone (Macquarie Place near Circular Quay and Bent St. for C&J. Harrolds also have an Italian selection (Santoni Artioli etc) in the new Mid City Centre and the best (free) cup of coffeee in Sydney IMO. The Strand 'Josephs' have some shoes on sale mainly their Spanish home brand standard UK business styles (goodyear)and some nice Churchs though beware the binder Churchs leather ones. Other than that there is Xile in the Martin Place and also QVB and they have some nice stuff like Maurizi though binder/corrected grain is creeping into even the de Tomassos they stock. Henry Bucks also stock some shoes like Fratelli Rossetti and so does Vince Melouney in Elizabeth St.
Tis a pity about the Carmina's, I really want to check them out. I will have to make an excuse to head down to Melbourne.
