Well yeah do that but in the spirit of the event we are trying to encourage people to come in to the shop, and be able to see and feel them themselves before buying, at a great discount for the night.

I'll report back but I dare say at 30% off they will be cheaper than the online options, Fox included, with no shipping costs and no wait time. Richard has about 40 different combos in store, all iGent friendly so you should be able to find something you like.

And I think in this day and age where we go on about having no where to find all this rare stuff in Australia (like Fox umbrella's) that us picky bastards want, we should be supporting the retailers who take the risk to stock it at a B&M level.

Actually I pretty much don't like any green at all anywhere with clothing. I don't have any - except maybe a tiny bit in a couple of paisley ties and one very nice dull green and burgundy broad striped cashmere and silk Borelli tie.

Maybe its a personal quirk but I rarely see it looking good or in a situation where there would not have been an easier and much better choice.

Mind you I did once have a deep bright green flannel DB suit. My excuse was I got it in NYC and somehow thought I was a Soul Bro or about to be asked to join the Tempations or something.

He's clearly just got out of bed with his pyjama pants on and just got into his slippers without socks and grabbed a jacket to sling on while he went out to pick up the paper from front lawn

I think the solid stick ones are ballpark $400 at full price. 30% is a great discount

Ok guys the official word from Ludlows is that the Fox Umbrella's will range from about $115 to $275 give or take with the 30% discount depending on the models of course.

This will be only on the night, in-store at the trunk show.

I'm about 170 cm (not quite 6ft) and 71-72kg. I'm not rail thin, but I don't carry an exceptional amount of weight. Like many people, I'd probably benefit from eating less sugar and exercising a whole lot more, but genuinely I don't think the majority of my issues lie there.

My first advice would be relax and wear what you like - find yourself - then refine it.

Breaking this down, hopefully, is pretty easy. My clothes don't fit. If hey fit in the shoulders, the sleeves are too long, if the wasit is right, the arse is too big, if the length is right something else is wrong. While I'm getting better nothing really works and while, in some ways, the answer of 'use of competant alterations tailor' is fine, it doesn't essentially solve my issue: I make poor decisions and waste time, effort and money needlessly.

Specifically I can't seem to get the waist done very well. I work in an area where I often just wear a shirt and pants (due to heat) which really draws attention to how the pants and shirt fit in the waist. I think with a cardgan or V neck I look about 1000000 times better, because they hide the most problematic area: where the pants and the shirt meet.

While the find yourself advice is valid, it's also a bit too simple. If I was just trying to be me I'd wear sneakers and denim and t shirts all day every day and no worries. The point is, I don't dress the way that I would, because I can't (are there that many people that would, without work dress codes) dress the way they do? I don't think so. Most people are trying to look like the best version of themselves that they can, in the context they are dressing in, and that usually means opting out of what's 'natural' and opting into what's 'better'.

While I hear you in the sense that authenticity is required, I don't think th aings are that simple. I also think we can be a lot more directed when buying/wearing things and not wasting time, energy and moeny in the process to the same extent someone who's aimlessly finding themselves usually does. All IMO of course. Nothing's black and white, etc. I am probably overthinking.

P.S.
I suggest you take advantage of these 'MTM' guys like lachy, tobi and me have and send someone like Luxire some pants that fit to remake as the pricetag for those 'exact' pants that fit great might be a bit high.

Speaking of those pants I found some! Was about a week ago but I went into Henry Bucks (usually thought it was just overpriced stuff that I could never buy; still is ) and looked around and found same pants; luckily got them for around $180 compared to $325 as they were stock which didn't sell in the sale!

Keep going Matt I've changed the way I dress numerous times through my life; if you could see pictures of me when I was 25 we would get a laugh out of it. Though even then I enjoyed dressing; I still do today and am learning new things about it everyday!

As soon as I own something that fits fantastically I'll do exactly that. OJ is close with shirts, but the sleeves are too long and a few other things.

I'm still a little puzzled about the adage on blues and greens. What's the traditional wisdom behind this?
